Hotter In Atlanta
By: Liz Talley
Released Jan 1st, 2014

Blurb
From award-winning author Liz Talley comes a tale of sexy secrets and starting over. Lola McInnis has hit rock bottom after catching her fiancĂ© cheating with his personal trainer. In a desperate attempt to make a fresh start, she sinks the last of her savings into renovating two houses in an up-and-coming Atlanta neighborhood, but the project hits the skids when her contractor bails.

Enter Van Kane, burned out drummer for the red-hot rock band Ten Addict. Van has no business pretending to be a contractor, but the idea of getting back to a simpler life and getting his hands dirty with the luscious Lola has him volunteering to help.

It’s not long before the two of them end up between the sheets; but can Lola keep her heart out of the equation? And how long will Van be able to keep his rock-and-roll life a secret?

My Review
Lola is trying to make a fresh start after she caught her fiance cheating. She has took all her saving and is trying to flip to houses to prove to everyone and her self she is ok. While it starts out smoothly her contractor has to quit and now she has to find a new one and one who can keep the houses under her money budget. When she meets Donovan she is immediately attracted to him and he is a contractor who can help her out. What she doesn't know is he isn't a contractor but actually a rock star hiding out. Van is ready for a break and on his way back home meets Lola. She intrigues him from the start and even he knows it is wrong but he pretends to be a contractor to get closer to her. He wants to forget he is famous for a while and get back to working with his hands. As the two come together things seem to be going great until Van's past catches up to him.

This was a quick read but one that I really enjoyed. Both Lola and Van are great characters and they have so much sexual tension between them. I love how the author gives you both Van and Lola's point of view. Both are really in some ways starting over while Van's is just a break he is trying to sort his head out and get to a better place. They both start off thinking it will be just a fling but as they work together it becomes so much more.Van is trying to keep his being a rockstar secret and finding it hard to do. They really at times seem like they have been together a long time. Van is so amazing and hot but my favorite thing is when he talks about his growing up. He knows how to throw on the charm. There is a lot hot scenes to enjoy as well. They both know what they want and go for it. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a steamy story with great characters.

After being selected as a finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart Award in Regency romance, Liz found a home writing sassy contemporary romance. Her first book—Vegas Two-Step—starred a spinster librarian and debuted in June 2010. Since that time, Liz has published ten more books with Harlequin Superromance. Liz lives in North Louisiana with her childhood sweetheart, two handsome children, and assorted pets. Liz loves doing laundry, paying bills, and creating masterful dinners for her family. She also lies in her bio to make herself look like the perfect wife. What she really likes is pretty shoes, lemon drop martinis, fishing off the pier, and ignoring the sink full of dirty dishes.

  1. Just wanted to pop by and thank you for hosting this blurb tour and taking the time to review Hotter in Atlanta, which is my first attempt at writing short. I had fun writing something fast-paced and sexy as opposed to most my books which are long but still sexy, of course! Thanks again!

  2. Stopping by a little late. My son had a ski race and I took the day off from writing and social media. Good luck on the tour. I love all your books.
