My Review
Rebecca is a proud woman who has fallen on hard times. She gave up her dream to care for her terminally ill mother. That is something she doesn't regret one bit. Now she is all alone and living in her car. She just quit her job but is determined to get a new one and get back on her feet. She doesn't want a hand out and wouldn't take it if you did give it to her. She really doesn't want a man stepping in trying to fix things for her. Pierce is a successful man and he has never been bitten by the love bug. When he meets Rebecca he sees a strong sexy woman and just has to get to know her better. He does everything he can to help her even when she doesn't want it. She keeps how hard it has been from him but she can't deny he is slipping under her skin. They both have control issues and have to learn to trust each other and open up.

Pierce is a sexy powerful man who isn't looking for love. He works hard and loves to take care of things for those he cares about. He is forgetful at times. Rebecca is a very strong woman who is very proud. She has had to have help a few times but it isn't something she ask for herself. She only took what she had to to help her mom. She never gives up even when she is living in her car. She isn't willing to let go of control and Pierce is used to jumping in and taking control.

I always love the Braden men and the women they fall for. Pierce I have to say isn't my favorite one but I did like him. Rebecca I loved. She has had life kick her down but she never gives up. She has goals in mind and she still reaches for them even when she has hit rock bottom. While at times she can be to proud I have to respect her for that. I love the chemistry between the two and how they are good together. Pierce never puts her down and he even takes her opinion in to play. He sees beyond just her body and respects her mind. Always a great thing. She does keep it a secret she was living in her car and never wants anyone to think she is using him for his money. I have to say they have a great story and I loved seeing them both come to terms about their control issues. They have to learn to hide nothing and help each other without pushing. If you haven't read this series it is a must read. These character become like your family after you read the books and you just keep wanting to know more and more.

My Review
Blake has moved to Truly to be alone and get rid of his drinking problem and the memories of fighting in wars. He is a great as his job and just wants to get his head clear. He doesn't expect to be bothered by a little girl or her to attractive mother. Natalie had it all once but her husband took it all away except for her daughter. She came back home to Truly. While she used to be a cheerleader now she spends her time raising her daughter and managing a photo store. Blake is the first man since her husband that she is really attracted to. To bad he seems to have a bad attitude. They become close after a shared pet keeps them coming together. However he may be to scared to open up to give them a chance.

Blake is the man that gets sent in when hope is lost. He is great at his job but he has had drinking problems in the past. He is afraid to  open up and ask for help or to talk about what bothers him. He is very sexy and while he can seem like a jerk at times he also has his sweet moments. Natalie is the woman who had it all. Now she is the one people talk about. She didn't do any wrong but still pays the price for what her husband did. She is a wonderful mother and a very sexy woman. I love how she is embarrassed easy and she can be funny at times.

This was a great story as Blake and Natalie don't seem like two people who will every get together. He can be rather hateful and rude at times. I didn't know how they would get past their first meeting. I love Natalie's daughter as she plays a big part in this story. Blake is the tough guy who keeps everything bottled up. He has to learn to open up and it's ok to let loose and talk. I felt so bad for Natalie and enjoyed seeing how she didn't let her ex bring her down. She picked the mess of her life up and made something of herself. There is a lot of heat in this book as They work well in bed together. I love the growth of feelings in this book. If you enjoy a book about two people with a chance at happiness if they just take the step you will enjoy this one.

My Review
Laura left her husband ten years ago not because she didn't love him but because of something she saw. She never thought to see him again and has put to good use the money he gives her. She does everything she can to help others in need and has built a great place for those in need to go to. Now she crosses path with her husband and she has another passionate encounter with him that leaves her no other way than to talk to him. James has always loved Laura but he let her leave. Now he sees this as a great time to work things out. He is very proud of who she has become and all she has did. He wants to show her it can work between them. They both have did things that have made them enemies with others but one enemy is not going to let things go.

James or Kirkland as he is mostly called is a great man. he has did some bad things but he has a cause for doing them. He may seem hard at times but his line of work has called for it. He will risk his life to help people in need and he tries his best to show nice people he means no harm. He never pushes Laura but he tries in his way to show her he cares for her still and loves her. Laura has such an amazing heart and will give her last dime to help those in need. She loves Kirkland but doesn't think she can move past their history. She sometimes rushes into danger without thinking but it is usually to help someone. I like how she is so sweet and caring.

This was a great read as both main characters have such a drive to help those in need. I liked Laura right away but wasn't sure about Kirkland. He won me over when he stood up to her parents. They both have love between them but don't think it will work. Kirkland worries Laura will run again but he doesn't want to push her to stay with him. He gives her the space she needs. Laura has to learn that life isn't perfect and that even great people sometimes have hard decisions to make. There is danger as someone is after Laura and her amazing maid Violet. They both don't want to be a victim and try to manage things themselves. I have to admire Laura for what she does. I felt sorry for her at one point in the book as I  know what she was going through is like. The love between the two may not always show but you can tell they are perfect for each together. If you like danger and great characters give this one a try.

My Review
Lady Delphine could marry many men but she has turned them all down. She will not marry without love and her heart is set on Major Lord Stephen Ives. Stephen doesn't look at her the same way. He has had his heart broke. The call to go to war send the men to the battle field but Delphine sends Stephen away with a goodbye kiss. It is a kiss that makes him look at her different. Stephen is injured in battle and Delphine helps nurse him back to health but he is blind now. He is also facing a scandal but he has one bright spot in his life Delphine. She makes him see the beauty that is all around without his vision. As the two fall for each other Stephen believes he will never be good enough for her and pushes her away. He may have pushed her to far and into the arms of another man. Now he has to see if she is what he truly wants forever.

Delphine is a great character. She won't be rushed into marriage and even if she is a Lady she is willing to get dirty to help others. She follows her heart and tries to help many. I like her she is spunky and outgoing. Stephen I have to say took almost 80 percent into the book before I liked him. From the start he is moody and sullen and I really couldn't see what Delphine saw in him. He had some moments where he seemed sweet and caring but they were in-between his bipolar like attitude. He did turn it around and was a nice guy but I never got to feeling more than a like for him.

 If you like romances with a great female character you will really enjoy this one. Delphine made this book for me. She was simply amazing the whole book. There is a mystery going on that I figured out pretty quick but it still didn't take anything away from the book. I enjoyed seeing Delphine bring Stephen out of his funk and how passionate she is with him. She only seems to want the best for him. Seeing do whatever she could to clear his name even after he hurt her showed how great she is. I am sure many historical romance fans will enjoy this one.
