Feature & Follow #9

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
This weeks question is....
Q: We are about to see a lot of posts & tweets about reader conventions, RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?

Answer: Honestly I would love to go to any of them. I have never been to any kind of convention, signing or anything like it. I would love to go because it would get me a better view of the world I love, authors I love and to find new books and authors to read. I also would love the chance to meet new people who share my love of books.

Follow me and let me know you did. I will gladly follow you back. I also just started a facebook page to go with my blog that if you have time I would love a like. Racing To Read Blog FB page. Next weekend I plan o having a giveaway so stay tuned for that!

I am loving this feature and meeting so many new people and wonderful blogs. This week Question is.

Q: Happy Mardi Gras! If they were throwing the HOTTEST books off of a Mardi Gras float -- what would you do to have them throw to you…?

I would want them to throw me Unravel Me, all the BDB books, a print copy of Splintered cause I love that book and need it in print. And so many more I think I would actually need a wheelbarrow to haul all I would love to have.
As for what I would do I love steampunk outfits so I think I would dress up in an eyecatching steampunk outfit and try to get their attention that way. I don't think I would show any uhh skin we will say for them cause for one it is to much trouble wrestling everything into clothes let alone taking stuff out and putting it back.

Q: What is the last book that made you cry? Tell us about the scene...
It is bad to say I can't remember the last book that made me cry. I never really cry much. I do remember I was going through a tough time earlier this year and I do remember almost crying while I was reading one book. That book is

Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Until, that is, she receives a summons from Alexandria that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean. But Egypt may hold more mysteries than even the indomitable Lady Maccon can handle. What does the vampire Queen of the Alexandria Hive really want from her? Why is the God-Breaker Plague suddenly expanding? And how has Ivy Tunstell suddenly become the most popular actress in all the British Empire?

I don't want to give any spoilers but the scene was one were something bad happen to one of the main characters . I almost cried because I had grown to love this character.

Thank you for stopping by. Let me know that you did and I will return the follow or visit your blog!

Q: Activity! Who is your to-die-for book crush? What do you think they look like? Add an image to make us all happy.

I have so many book crushes but one set really comes to mind. The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward. Why if you have ever read this series you would see why the men and I will say women are so hot. I could easily reread this series over and over. John is my favorite but i couldn't find a picture to suit what I think he should be so I did find pictures of a man who I think could play a few different ones in this series. I love him and here is who I picture playing a few different characters in my mind.

Vin Diesel is who I picture when I read the BDB books. He is so hot and fine. The only reason I can't picture him as John is because he would lose that sexy voice. Who did you pick? If you stop by let me know and I will gladly return the follow or just stop by and see what hottness you picked.

Q: Books are turned into movies all the time! Turn it around. What movie would make a great book?

Good Question it's hard for me to come up with one. I read more than I watch tv. I don't think it is a book but Death Race would make an awesome one. As popular as distopian books are it would fit in good right now. I love cars and could easily get into a book with them in it.

Feature & Follow #1

Hi everyone this is my first Feature and Follow. I would like to thank Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read for Hosting this great blog feature. As you can see I have just started this blog. I blog for Paranormal Reads but wanted a blog I could call my own. I love paranormal books but I also enjoy other types as well. This my place to where I can talk about all types and do reviews of them. Please feel free to follow me and let me know you did so I will be sure to follow back. I will be adding more to the blog as time goes by I know it may seem kinda bare right now. Thank you and welcome!
Now on to the question.

Do you mind books with similar ideas to other books? Similar concepts, backgrounds, retellings or pulled-to-publish fanfic?

I don't mind if they make it there own story. If I am reading a book and everything seems the same as another book just different names then yes I do mind. Or if the book is clearly a copy and they deny deny deny then yes that puts me off that author.
