The Opposite of Wild
Book One Clover Park Series
By: Kylie Gilmore
Released Jan 16th, 2014

Blurb
Unleash the wild woman…?

Ex-cop Ryan O'Hare takes one look at buttoned-up control freak Liz Garner and just itches to loosen the woman up. Not that he’s into her. Because a woman like that comes with way too many expectations. Not to mention, she practically works for him, and he didn’t hire Liz to watch after his beloved Harley-stealing Gran so he could turn Liz loose in his bed. Still, there’s something about her, a hidden wild side, that makes him wonder what it would take.

Liz must be crazy to work for the insensitive, arrogant, horribly…hot man she's avoided for years. Unfortunately, she needs the money and Ryan's grandmother needs a keeper. (Midnight tango lessons and ziplines with Gran, anyone?) Ryan's rare smile and swaggering confidence have Liz torn between throwing her favorite pinot grigio at his head or throwing herself at him. Can this control freak find a way to let loose with the tough, no-strings guy who once broke her heart?

My Review
Liz has tried for years to keep everything under control. From her weight, to her money and to helping her sister she likes order. When a need for extra money comes up she takes a job as an elderly care giver. She doesn't realize what she is getting into. Ryan has to find someone to keep an eye on his Gran. She is living on the wild side and he worries. He hires Liz to keep an eye on her and ends up with his eye on Liz. They both have links in the past and while one wants a happily ever after the other isn't for settling down. They will have yo see if opposites can work.

Liz was embarrassed years ago and it left it's mark on her. She never eats anything that may go over her calorie intake, she has her money all planned out, and she likes things neat and orderly. She really at times can seem kinda stiff. One thing you can say is she really cares for people. Whether it is Maggie or her sister Daisy she tries to get them to do the right thing and live a calm life. I liked her because she does have a wild side that she doesn't even know about yet and while she thinks she has everything figured out she doesn't. Ryan is very yummy but he to at times wants to control his Gran. You know he wants the best for her but he can be pushy. He had to grow up early and help raise his brothers. He also has a bad past that changed him. He has problems really letting anyone in. Both are amazing characters that stick with you.

I love this book. The main characters seem like two people who will never work together. Liz has a troublesome sister and wants to run her life in some ways but her sister just wants to run. While she would like a quiet life that sure isn't what she gets. Her and Ryan touched each others lives years ago but never knew how much until later on. They are very steamy together and apart they seem to fall apart. Besides the main characters the whole cast of side characters seem to have you begging for more. From Daisy Liz's sister to Ryan's brother to my absolute favorite Maggie Ryan's Gran. I have to say she stole the book for me. Every time she was in a scene I would sit back waiting to see what she would come up with next. I eagerly look forward to more books in this series as I have to see where the other characters go and more of Maggie. If you like a wonderful romance book full of family dramas, love, laughter and so much more pick this one up.

Ryan just stood there, his sharp eyes studying her. "You're a puzzle, Liz."

"I am?"

He reached out and smoothed a lock of hair behind her ear, and her heart caught in her throat at the gentle gesture. "You seem so…uptight," he said. She stiffened and took a step back. "But I know you were checking me out when I was mowing."

She flushed, but rallied quickly. "I was only bringing you water." She crossed her arms and said primly, "You surprised me when you dumped the water on your head. I was merely looking to see if you were going to do any other…surprising things."

His lips twitched. "You're like a librarian just waiting to let loose."

"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" she bristled, hands on her hips.

"There it is." He smiled and stepped close, crowding her space. She drew in a quick breath, but held her ground. "The puzzle—fire and ice."

She put both hands on his solid chest and pushed him out the door. "Next time, mail the check." She shut the door in his face, turned and leaned against it. "Urgh!"

"That's what I'm talking about," he said through the door.

She ripped open the door. "Go away."

His head cocked to the side while he bit back a smile. "Is that any way to talk to your employer?"

"Gah!" She slammed the door and locked it. She heard his low laugh as he walked away.

Kylie Gilmore was lucky enough to discover romance novels at a young age as they were strewn all over the house (thanks, Mom!). She writes quirky, tender romance with a solid dose of humor. Her first book in the Clover Park series, The Opposite of Wild, will launch in January 2014 featuring the oldest of three brothers and his lady love. The next two books in the series give each brother his dream girl (eventually).

Kylie lives in New York with her family, two cats, and a nutso dog. When she's not writing, wrangling kids, or dutifully taking notes at writing conferences, you can find her flexing her muscles all the way to the high cabinet for her secret chocolate stash.

Love At Stake: Review

Love at Stake
by Victoria Davies

Blurb
Abbey is the lone human working for Fated Match, a company that pairs members of the supernatural community with their eternal mates.

To snag a young vampire socialite as their next client, Abbey journeys to the home of Lucian Redgrave, the oldest vampire on the East Coast. But he's not willing to allow his vampire daughter to use the agency... unless Abbey can first find his perfect match in a month.

As Abbey coaches Lucian through his dates, she can’t deny the chemistry between them. But humans are toys for vampires, and risking her heart isn't a part of the plan.

My Review
Abbey works at Fated Match a place that sets up all kinds of paranormal beings up with their perfect mate. Business has been slow and when a young vampire wants to sign up it's up to Abbey to convince her sire the company works at finding mates. Lucian agrees to let his young daughter sign up but only if they can find him a mate in a months time. He won't work with any other than Abbey as she intrigues him and she lets it known she won't date vampires. As they work together top set him up they both can't deny they want each other but their percentages don't seem to link to any type of perfect match.

From the start I liked the idea of this book. A dating service for paranormal creatures just sounds so good. Abbey doesn't like vampires or any kind of creature that snacks on humans. She has no plans to fall under Lucian's spell. Her job is at stake in this book as it is up to her to get him a match and help the company bring in new clients. She doesn't usually work personally with the clients but Lucian won't take no for an answer. Lucian doesn't believe this system can work and in some ways is old fashioned. He is up for anything even if he just gives it a few minutes of his time. He wants Abbey and can't stay away from her. I love the chemistry between the two and how even while dating others they can't seem to stay away. I do have to say I didn't like Abbey's boss much as she doesn't care what it takes to get more business. There is plenty of tension between Lucian and Abbey and you get several laughs as well. This book is very entertaining and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Haunt Me: Review

Haunt Me
by Heather Long

Blurb
Recently divorced author MacKenzie Dillon has lost her writing mojo. When she inherits her great aunt’s haunted house in Virginia, she is determined to make a new start. The creepy old house provides inspiration but at what cost?

Successful architect and paranormal skeptic Justin Kent returns to Penny Hollow to fulfill his father’s dying wish of revitalizing their small town. To do that, he needs the allegedly haunted estate at Summerfield. Mac, the new owner, may be gorgeous and spunky, but she refuses to sell.

These two have a dangerous history that spans the ages, but will they discover the truth in time to save their lives?

My Review
MacKenzie has just got out of a bad marriage and when she inherits her great aunt's house it seems a perfect sign. She can move to Virginia get a new start and hopefully get her writing juices flowing again. The house is supposed to be haunted but that doesn't bother her. Justin has return to Penny Hollow to finish what his father wished. He only has to buy the haunted house from the new owner so he can move on with his life. He finds Mac won't sale and as he helps her fix up the place he discovers he may care for her. There is a few things standing in their way of having a relationship. A spiteful ex and even the ghost have plans for them.

This book is very well written and gets you intrigued from the start. Mac has a horrible ex husband who has made her trust no one. She is scared to let anyone get close to her. She is also dealing with a writers block but now that she is in her new home things seem to be falling together in her story. Justin starts out wanting to buy her home at any cost but after he gets to know her he wants her to stick around. He is a sexy man who is full of charm. He won't let anyone hurt Mac if he can help it even if it puts him in danger. I really liked him. The ghost story is a great one and I love how it ties into the characters now. You keep wondering what will happen next. Mac and Justin start out both wanting different things then they slowly work towards becoming friends even when Mac sometimes makes that hard to do. There is action, intrigue and much more rolled into this book. I would recommend to anyone looking for a romance story with ghost.

Luke Blog Tour - Review & Giveaway

Hi everyone! I have a stop on the Luke blog tour today. There is a review of the book and a giveaway for you all.

Luke
A Forbidden Lust Novella
By: Diana Bocco

Blurb
Of all the men in the world, Cailin Walker fell in love with the one she cannot have. The one her sister married.

Billionaire Luke Blackwell made the biggest mistake of his life when he married the wrong Walker sister, but that’s one mistake he intends to rectify.

Cailin’s stayed away for the past three years to fight what she feels.

But all it takes is one drunken mistake for passion to ignite.

Now that they’ve tasted the forbidden, there’s no turning back. They’ll either have to fight the passion threatening to consume them or take a chance and risk losing everything.

Losing it all might just be worthy.

The FORBIDDEN LUST novellas are erotic romances intended for mature audiences.

My Review
Luke is in a horrible marriage and wants out. He knows he will lose a lot of his money but it will be worth it. Especially since he sees now he married the wrong sister. Cailin has loved Luke for years. She believes her sister only went after Luke because she knew Cailin had feelings for him. Now after they finally get together they know nothing can keep them apart.

I enjoyed this story. It is short but very hot. Luke in some ways may seem like a jerk. He goes after what he wants but as you read you see he really cares about Cailin and wants her. He doesn't care what it will take to get rid of his wife. He is willing to give her tons of his money. Cailin is super sweet. She tries even knowing how her sister is to give them a chance at a happy marriage and let her own feelings stay hid. She finally can't hold back any more and you see how hot she can be. This book is packed full of sizzle and heat. While they start out in a relationship in a bad time you can't help but wish them the best. If you like hot steamy stories be sure to try this one.

This Could Have Been Our Song

Today on my blog I have the This Could Have Been Our Song blog tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, excerpt, and giveaway.

This Could Have Been Our Song (Book One)
Lucia Mpobo-Riddell could have been a dancer like the rest of women of her family but instead she chose music. Marcus Grant could have been a doctor like the rest of his family but instead he chose music. She also could have not fallen for Marcus on her birthday but she did. And Marcus, he could have told Lucia the truth about his real reason for being in Toronto that night, but he didn't.
Now they have to deal with big reveals and consequences: Marcus almost stealing her job and being force to work on an album together. Marcus, because he couldn't swallow his pride, leave Toronto and go home to London. Lucia, because she just couldn't give up on her first amazing opportunity to produce a whole album.
And to complicate the situation further, the band they're working for is not the easiest one. Mary Gillis, Marcus' on and off flame, still has a hold on him. Greg McMullen, Lucia's close friend and former dance partner is back in town and has been in love with her for years. Then there's Marcus and Lucia, in the middle of their own a professional and personal tug-of- war with each over and the rest of the world. But maybe things could still work out... All things considered, this could have been one heck of a love song!

Excerpt:
LUCIA
“The meeting is now adjourned. We’ll meet again in two weeks’ time to discuss and finalize the hen party.” She (Axelle) pours herself another glass. “To D-Day minus one hundred and five!” she tells us, raising her glass. “Luce, be a dear and order another pitcher or two.”
I order the pitchers as well as a dirty martini for the bride-to-be.
Axelle turns to me, her glass in her hand. “So…what’s new? And you look fantastic, honey!”
“Hey, I look good too!” Noor scowls.
Axelle laughs and turns to Noor. “Oh my God! Did I just compliment the wrong sister? You’re Nooradine?”
“Jealousy is not a good color on you, Noor,” I sneer back, filling myself another drink.
“Please, you’re dieting,” she tells me. “She’s dieting, Axelle!” she says even louder and finishes her drink.
“I’m so not. I’m doing a cleanse and some yoga.”
“The one with Beesly,” Axelle says, serving Noor another glass. “I’ve heard of it. You have to do a lot of stretching with it.” She blows me a kiss. “Good for you, Luce, and shame on you, Noor.”
Nice try, Noor. My turn now. I pour myself another margarita. How many have I had so far? Three or four glasses? Do I even care? I feel warm and tickly. “Andrew is holding out on Noor…sexually.” Bam!
“You don’t say,” Axelle giggles. She finishes her drink and pours another. “What did you do to shift the balance of power?”
“I don’t want to have the suburban house and baby talk right now. It has only been a week.” She empties her drink. “Thanks, big mouth.”
Liar, liar, shorts on fire! “You told me five days,” I tell Noor. I turn to Axelle. “Anyway, did I tell you I was dancing again. Just for fun of course. Not like you or Noor.”
“Oh, I’m so happy!” Axelle gets up and hugs me. “So are you shagging anyone?”
So, I guess we’re back on me. I finish my drink. “Nope.”
“Why the bloody hell not? Isn’t that Marcus bloke still in town?” she asks. And another drink.
“She doesn’t know what she wants,” Noor interjects. Another drink there too. “Greg or Marcus.”
“Greg was in town? Don’t you dare break that young man’s heart…again!” She raises her glass to me and wiggling her finger.
“I never broke his heart!” I tell Axelle. “Greg is one of my closest friends. And I don’t have a lot of those.”
“Hey…you have us,” Noor says.
“My point exactly, Noor,” I say.
“That poor kid was so in love with you back at the dancing academy and he’s still in love you.” Axelle gives me the most loving look. “Who could blame him? My baby is breathtaking.”
“Aw, I love you too, Lelly.” I give her a kiss. “But I’m not going to sleep with Greg. Ever.”
“Right.” Axelle winks at me.
“Your loss. That man is ravishing,” Noor says.
I know he is, inside and out. Let’s change the subject. “Lelly, do you have a dress for the launch party?” I innocently ask.
“Yes I do. An original Renee G creation. She sent it to me earlier this week,” she proudly says. Of course anything for Mrs Anderson. “So… Are you bringing someone?”
Where did this come from? I look to Noor for cover, but she’s too sloshed to be of any help.
“Well are you?” Noor asks.
“Can I bring Beesly?”
“Are you going to be shagging her after? I thought she was married. And straight? And so are you. We were thinking about a man,” Lelly tells me, laughing.
“No! Gosh, Lelly… Marcus then,” I say and I can’t take it back.
“Are you going to be shagging him after?” Noor asks.
“It’s good PR for us. There will be no shagging! Please stop asking or saying it. Understood.” I’m losing my buzz. Another drink it is.
“Okay,” Noor chuckles.
“Right,” Axelle giggles.
“Somebody needs to take that stick out of her butt, or just–” Axelle says.
“Enough!” I clumsily get up. My buzz hasn’t gone after all. “I’m going home…in a taxi…I think.”
“I was just going to say–” Axelle continues.
“It has been months after all since–” Noor says at the same time.
“I got the picture, thanks. Bye.” I’m ready to leave.
“Please stay. We’re sorry,” Noor begs. “We just want you to get some because we care.”
“And you can’t leave yet. We haven’t played refugee African princesses yet,” Axelle begs.
I do like to play that bar game. Axelle is the best story teller. “One more drink and then we go home,” I say sitting back down.
“Okay,” Noor chuckles.
“Right,” Axelle giggles.
Our fourth pitcher arrives and Axelle fills our drinks.
“I don’t have to deal with that kind of shit when I drink with Beesly,” I say, sulking.
“She’s your soul sister. We’re blood and, Luce, it’s thinker than water and wine,” Noor literally burps out. She looks around. “We should get some wine!”
“We’re not going anywhere anytime soon are we?” I say, smiling at my crazy sisters. Let the game begin. We’ll worry about getting home later – much, much later…

This would have been their perfect love song…
It has been two years since Lucia Mpobo-Riddell has made her choice between the two men in her life. She and her beloved would have been perfectly happy if it wasn’t for… the constant distractions from her past, her sister Noor’s complicated life, her own doubts and fears. Maybe there wasn’t such a thing as perfection and this was a lesson that Lucia was going to learn the hard way.
Greg McMullen and Marcus Grant’s lives had been affected by Lucia’s choice that day in Glasgow two years ago. Since then one had been fighting to keep her when the other had been relentlessly trying to get her back. It soon became apparent to them that she wasn’t the Lucia they met and fell in love with anymore. Her life and priorities had completely shifted. To even consider keeping her or just getting her back, they would have to accept it or they would have to let her go. But would they ever be able to do either?

Excerpt:
IV. Marcus - Out of love and air supplies…
“Nosy much?” I say sitting next to her. “I just wanted to be left alone and Mary isn’t always good at taking ‘no’ for an answer.” She looks lovely. No she looks wonderful. There’s been something so different about her since her arrival. I still cannot put my finger on it.
“Yes, I’m nosy you cheeky boy! Leaving Doddy and Patrick on their own downstairs! I came to check up on you. Now stop being rude. It doesn’t really work on me.” She puts her head on my shoulder and takes my hand. “I did the same thing on my dad’s funeral. People keep asking if you are fucking all right! I was just eight, idiots, I felt like I would never be all right again.” She lightly kisses my palm. “I promise you, you will Marcus,” she whispers.
“Luce…” I whisper back and kissing her palm. She’s this close to bolting out of here or retrieving into her shell. “Fancy a pity shag?” I say with a sad smug smile.
She knocks her elbow in my rib cage and winces. “That hurts! What have you been doing with yourself?” She asks me rubbing her elbow.
“Hitting the gym, takes the frustration out.” And I have been a frustrated lad.
“Not even my usual friendly nap today Sir! But I have something for you.”
“I said I would not touch you and I have been pretty good so far haven’t I?” I plead with my best puppy dog stare. Lucia has been falling asleep on my bed three times over the last two days. Jetlag…but last night she fell asleep in my arms…my bed smells of her intoxicating smell, it’s pure torture.
“Your mum gave me this. She completely forgot about this picture,” she smiles and hands me the photo. “You lied to me Marcus,” she adds.
“What?” She couldn’t know about The Plan…could she? I look at the photo and flip it. Mercutio and Lucia 1983. “Is this real?”
“Is your real name Mercutio?” she shivers with fake disgust.
“Yeah. I never liked it and wasn’t able to say it properly,” I shrug. It’s a two-year old me nicely kissing a very tiny cute baby. “Is this you?” I point at the baby in the photo.
She nods, “Mercutio…Cushion of course! I always thought that Cushion and a long stretch from Marcus. So…Mercutio, you kissed me first!” she laughs.
“Hey, I was two! It doesn’t count,” I laugh back.
“I don’t know about that. Doddy said that you wouldn’t stop snogging me and they had to take me away. You cried when you went out of the room… aww your first crush,” she smirks.
“You sassy–,” I laugh, I just can’t stop laughing. I haven’t laughed in days… “–how long–“
“She gave it to me when I arrived from London. I thought it would cheer Mercutio up,” she says a bit embarrassed. She’s finally letting her guard down and she knows it.
“I love you Luce.”
“Marcus don’t. You promised,” she says getting off my bed.
“What did you expect me to say or do after that?” I haven’t let go of her hand yet. The hand with the giant engagement ring.
“Let’s go back downstairs with the others.” She pulls me up.
“You’re avoiding the conversation,” I say following her.
“And you sound like a broken record Mercutio. I’m engaged, remember?”
“Yes, how can I forget? But I love you and I’m not ashamed of my feelings. So… pity shag is really off the table?” I ask when I close the door behind us.
She waves her ring at me. “Again, engaged!”
“Right, that you certainly are.”
But The Plan is working.

Tornado Allie Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the Tornado Allie  blog tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, excerpt, review, and giveaway.

Since beating cancer, television news producer Allie Schwartz has been on a mission to tackle everything on her bucket list. First task—seeing a live tornado. When her best friend’s older brother, sexy storm-chasing tour guide Drake Roberts, offers to help with the naughty items from her list, she agrees to a one night stand and hands him the sexual reins.
Contractually forbidden from fraternizing with the guests and worried his sexual dominance would offend her, Drake has reluctantly kept his hands off the courageous Allie for five torturous days. But after experiencing his own brush with death and learning she works for the television station where he’s been hired as the new meteorologist, he can’t keep his attraction a secret any longer. So when he accidentally reads her naughty list, he withholds the fact they’ll soon be co-workers and seizes the opportunity to fulfill her fantasies. All but one. Because if he has his way, they’ll last longer than one night…

Excerpt:
“What are we doing up here?” Allie asked as Drake led her outside to the hotel rooftop, his fingers entwined with hers.
He hadn’t let go of her for a second since the panty-melting kiss, and if it weren’t for the room of onlookers, she had a feeling he would’ve taken her right there on top of the bar. While she wasn’t into exhibitionism, she probably wouldn’t have stopped him. Luckily for her, Drake had hung on to his self-control.
She peered over the edge and down at the vacant courtyard. The storms had passed, leaving behind a clear night sky lit by a full moon and the brightest stars she’d ever seen. Other than the faint sound of crickets chirping, their breaths, and the hammering of her heart, it was completely silent.
“Let’s talk more about your list,” he murmured, cradling her face in his large palms.
“Do we have to? Couldn’t we just…do it?”
“Oh no doubt about it, we’ll work our way down your list tonight, which is why I brought you up here.” He wrapped an arm around her waist, retrieved her list from his pocket, and leaned their backs against the ledge. “Number three. Public sex. Tell me what you imagined when you wrote this.”
“I didn’t imagine anything.”
He shot her a look of disbelief.
“Fine.” She buried her face on his chest. “I don’t mean I want to have sex while other people watch. It’s the idea of doing it out in the open where we could get caught that excites me.” She paused, waiting for him to respond. She couldn’t look at him and when he didn’t speak, she wrenched her hand away and pushed off the wall to head to the stairs. “You think I’m perverted, don’t you? Forget the list. It was silly and I—”
He nabbed the back of her jean skirt and yanked her into the hard plane of his chest, then twisted her around. Without giving her a chance to protest, he kissed her hard, easing her fear she’d offended him with her naughty list. The moment she relaxed in his arms, he receded from the kiss, leaving her breathless.
With his thumb, he caressed the skin under her ear. “I think it’s fucking hot. Maybe it makes you perverted, but honey, you’re my kind of perverted. There’s nothing wrong with consenting adults having sex, even if the sex is considered unconventional by society’s standards. It’s not as if we’re breaking any laws.”
“Actually, public sex is illegal.”
His hands slid down her spine to rest right above her skirt. He leaned in, nipping her earlobe before he whispered, “I think it’s worth the risk, don’t you?”
Her heart galloped at the thought of him taking her in the open, underneath the stars, where anyone could walk through the door. “Here? Now?”
“No time like the present. We’ve only got ten hours to get through your list.”
Despite her fear of getting caught, her nipples tightened, and her pussy quivered. “We couldn’t possibly do everything on my list. I mean, how would you, you know, recover to do it all?”
“Do you doubt me?”
“The guys I’ve been with were good with once a night.”
He squeezed her ass. “Then you’ve been with the wrong guys. If you were mine, I’d make love to you every chance I got, so whenever we were apart, you’d still feel me inside you.”
“Oh,” she said shivering, unable to formulate words. Her panties dampened. “Wow. I’m a little nervous.”
He looked surprised. “Of me?”
“I forget how to speak when I’m with you.”
A devilish grin and the wicked intent sparkling in his eyes was all the warning he gave before slowly backed her up to the wall. “Good thing you won’t need it tonight. Except to say ‘yes’ and ‘more.’”
“And if I want you to stop?” Her body betrayed her arousal, as she stood on her tiptoes and shamelessly ground her pussy against the erection confined by his jeans.
He chuckled, bracing her hips and preventing her from moving against him. “Use your safe word.”
A low growl of frustration emitted from her chest. Less talk, more action. “What word?”
He brushed his hands up and down her arms, reassuring her. “Your safe word. Choose a word you don’t normally say in conversation, but something you’ll remember. The second you use it, I’ll stop whatever it is we’re doing and we’ll talk about it.”
An image instantly sprung to her mind. “Banana. I can’t stand them.”
He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “If you change your mind—”
“I won’t.” She clutched his shirt in her fists. “I want to know what it’s like to let someone else take control in the bedroom. Someone who actually knows how to pleasure me.” She batted her eyelashes. “You up for the challenge?
“It’s not a challenge.” He whispered in her ear. “It’s an invitation. One I’ve already accepted. Are you ready?”
More than ready. “Yes.”
He licked the shell of her ear and blew warm air over it, giving her chills despite the eighty-degree evening. “Then strip.”

She currently writes for Avon Red Impulse, Loose Id, and Soul Mate Publishing.

Live: The Burnside Series by Mary Ann Rivers
Loveswept
January 21, 2014

Blurb
Mary Ann Rivers kicks off a new contemporary romance series—sure to please readers of Ruthie Knox, Kristan Higgins, and Jill Shalvis—where love can be found unexpectedly.

If there’s an upside to unemployment, Destiny Burnside may have found it. Job searching at her local library in Lakefield, Ohio, gives her plenty of time to ogle the hottest man she has ever laid eyes on: the sexy wood-carver who’s restoring the building. But as the rejection letters pile up, Destiny finds an unexpected shoulder to cry on. With his rich Welsh accent, Hefin Thomas stirs Destiny so completely that, even though he’s leaving soon, she lets herself believe the memory of his scorching kisses will be enough.

Hefin can’t help but notice the slender, confident woman with ginger hair who returns each day, so hopeful and determined. So when the tears start to fall, his silence—penance for a failed marriage—finally cracks. Once he’s touched her, what Hefin wants is to take her back to Wales and hold her forever. But Destiny’s roots run too deep. What they both need is each other—to learn how to live and love again.

My Review
Destiny has had no luck on her job hunting and just when she is feeling her lowest Hefin Thomas steps up. She has had her eye on him at the local library and while embarrassed he has saw her down she wants to make the most of getting his attention. She knows he is going back to Wales soon but she still begins a romance with him. Hefin has had a failed marriage and isn't looking to  start any kind of relationship knowing he is leaving. He can't resist Destiny and finds he is wanting more than a fling he wants her to come home with him. Destiny has to many things going on and her family is here for her to leave. Even when they fall in love thy still know it has to end.

Destiny has lost her father to cancer and her sister has had an accident. She lost her job and is trying her best to hold everything together. She can't give up and has to keep going. A lot of times she will feel guilty for taking time for her self. I really liked her and how she tries her best to help others. Hefin is an amazing guy. He isn't perfect and lets it be known he is not. He doesn't hold anything back and is amazing talented.

I really liked this book and reading about not just Destiny's troubles and life but Hefin's as well. Destiny has her family and all their problems she is dealing with as well as she is still getting over her dad's death. She is happy with Hefin and while she does want more with him she knows it can't be. Hefin has his issues as well. He has an ex wife he is still trying to sort things out in his head about and he wants to go back home. They both really come together at a time they really need another person. Even in a short time they have so much they deal with and they begin to heal each other. This is a delightful story I am sure many will love and want more of.
