Hi everyone her is the blitz for Closure. It sounds really good. Be sure to check out the excerpt.

Title: Closure
Author: Kim Carmichael
Genre: Romance, Erotic Romance, Erotica
Publisher: Hot Ink Press
Blitz Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Book Description:
There's always the one…

He's one person throughout life you think about every so often, the one who leaves his unique indelible mark on you, the person with whom you need closure.

For Margaret Collins that person was Mike Taylor.
After he broke her heart seventeen years ago, she left everything she knew and reinvented herself. With a new home, a new look and a new name, Riley Williams is now an up and coming journalist given the assignment to interview a Mike Taylor. She never suspected he would be her Mike Taylor.

With Mike having no hint of Riley's true identity, she must decide if she will make him pay for sins he doesn't remember committing, or if she can wipe away the past and be with the one man who she has always wanted?

Can she finally have closure?

Excerpt
Mike never tutored her in chemistry. She supposed it was because she followed the instructions in that class or she may blow herself up. One thing was certain. She did not need any help now.

"Take a bite." Mike held up a spoon containing a sampling of chocolate covered coconut cake with raspberry sauce.

They sat together at tiny table outside the small café where they were presented with several small dessert selections, including chocolate mousse and a custard dish, but both their eyes went to the sinful cake first.

Their dinner was incredible, but not for the food. She barely remembered eating, but she savored the way Mike ordered for her, how he chose the ideal wine to compliment the meal, and how he continued to stare at her as if nothing else existed.

"It's dripping." She shook her head.

"Then it's perfect." He lifted the spoon higher.

She decided not to mention anything else dripping. She was ready to drown.

Instead, she lapped up some of the sauce with her finger.

She went to put her finger between her lips, when he dropped the spoon and caught her wrist.

"I believe I would like the first taste." He brought her hand to his mouth and sucked the sauce off her.

He swirled his tongue along her fingertip. If he was trying to show her exactly what he could do to another part of her body, it worked.

"Delectable." He licked his lips. "But I believe I need something more." He leaned forward and kissed her.

This kiss was different than the one on the pier. They already skipped over awkward, unsure connections and were now at tantalizing tastes. The type of kissing usually meant as a precursor to other, more satisfying, activities.

He opened his mouth giving her a sampling of the decadent dessert mixed with him.

No, dripping wasn't the word to describe her. If he were any other man, she would have already had them back in bed letting him properly attend to her needs. She squeezed her thighs together in an attempt to relieve some of the pressure.

He placed his hand on her leg. "You seem a little tense."

She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, tightening and relaxing the muscles in her leg. "I'm just in good shape."
"So I feel." He inched his hand up, his fingertips sneaking under the hem of her dress.

The Promise - Blitz

Hey everyone I am happy to take part in a blitz for The Promise.

Title: The Promise
Author: Kim Carmichael
Genre: Erotica
Publisher: Hot Ink Press
Blitz Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Synopsis:
Demon Dolan Ciar exists on three simple words: desire, denial, and destruction. Every four years, he is allowed one night of earthly passion to punish a deserving female. By the time he is finished, his victims are left as willing receptacles for demons yet to come.
Since she was four, a demon has been the only constant in Leora Desmond's life. He taught her how to seize control, to never give up, and to take whatever she wanted. At twenty-four, her self-centered existence is focused on one thing. She wants Dolan, and she won't be dissuaded.
A mistake brought Dolan to Leora. A promise bound him to her. Returning once again to ask for his freedom, he is faced with Leora demanding to be his next conquest. The ultimate retribution would be to take from her the ultimate symbol of her selfishness.
Now, Dolan must decide if he can doom her to life in living hell or face his own set of unearthly consequences, while Leora must choose between her pleasure and her heart.
The Promise blurs the line between good and evil, desire and love, and promises and commitment.

Excerpt.
He tilted his head. "You look older."
She forced herself to blink and to remember her goal. "Then I assume I am at last old enough to be a fit for a demon." She stepped forward, stopping less than a foot away from him. The back of her throat dried out, and she swallowed.
He put his hand to his chin, his gaze taking her in. "This old song and dance. When will you use the brains you have and leave it alone?"
His words hit her, but rather than retreating, she moved closer. The energy, the tingle, the wafts of spice encompassed her and lured her toward him. "Never."
"You were smart last time. Why don't you release me so I can do what I came here for." He glanced down at her and then shifted his focus beyond her. "I have needs as well."
"Tonight I am the one you came here for." The mention of his last visit stung, but she willed herself to keep going. She ran her fingers up the buttons of his shirt. "You always told me to take control."
He shook his head. "A lesson you learned well."
She reached up and clenched his collar in her fist. "I let you go last time, but tonight I am the one you need."
He grabbed her wrist. "I spared you before. Never forget that."
She stared right into his eyes. No weakness was allowed tonight. "It's me, Dolan. Me, or you can be celibate until the decade I do you the favor of dying. I don't care about your pain." She tensed, preparing herself for his retaliation.
"I thought I taught you better than to make demands of a demon." He pressed his palm to the side of her face.
Heat radiated through her body, sending a warning to every one of her nerve endings. "A demon who comforts a child is a failure of a demon in my book."
His jaw tightened. "That was a mistake. An oversight."

Laura's Light Book Blast- Excerpt & Giveaway

Hey Everyone today I have an excerpt and a giveaway for the Book Blast for Laura's Light by Donna Gallagher!
Laura’s Light
by Donna Gallagher
BLURB:

Forty-two- year- old single mother Laura Harris devoted more than half her life to raising her son. She remembered the concept of having sex but it had been aeons since she’s actually been a participant - especially with a real flesh-and-blood partner. But it’s time to reclaim her life. Her son is a man now. And the rising star of the Jets rugby league team. Their future is brighter than ever and, for the first time, financially secure. But Laura is starting to think agreeing to have dinner with Trevor Hughes could be biting off more than she can chew. Not that she can’t see herself taking a nice big chunk from the absolutely gorgeous thirty-four-year-old sports commentator’s rump, he’s one prime piece of masculinity! She just isn’t sure how or when the whole sex thing will become an issue. She can’t even get past the what-to-wear step. Let alone the when-to-take-it-off stage…

Trevor Hughes usually avoids the woman with substance - he has enough of his own demons to deal without trying to care for anyone else. But there’s something about the upbeat, sexy, one-woman-dynamo Laura Harris. The woman is pure sunshine and happiness. And that’s surprising when you look at what life has handed her. Nothing seemed to dampen Laura’s spirits and she quickly becomes someone Trevor needs in his life…Until misunderstandings come between them. Can Trevor put things right?

Excerpt
“I didn’t mean to fall asleep. I’m sorry… I should have left hours ago. This isn’t what is supposed to happen these days, I suspect.” Laura caught sight of the light shining from the corner of the closed drapes.

“The sun is up! I have no idea what time it is. What on earth is Mitchell going to think?” Laura started to struggle in an attempt to free herself from Trevor’s hold, tried to remove herself from his arms, his bed. Then, realising she was naked, she froze. How the hell was she going to make a gracious exit when she would have to hunt, completely naked in front of him, for her clothing? Any chance of her maturing body’s flaws remaining hidden in the room’s darkness was now fading as the sun rose. Not to mention the walk of shame she was facing, going home in the probably now rumpled clothing that she’d left home in last night. Laura groaned.

“Oh, this is so embarrassing. I’m not really up on the etiquette this sort of thing involves. You know, the morning after the night before. What the hell was I thinking?” Laura buried her face into the pillow, thinking that hiding from the world might magically make all her uncertainty and embarrassment go away.

She heard Trevor chuckling next to her, and anger was the first emotion to take hold.

“This might seem funny to you, but I’m not some young bunny that hops from bed to bed. This is my first one-night stand and I’m a mother, for goodness’ sake. What will I tell my son? ‘Yes, Mitchell, it’s okay for me to stay out all night without letting you know, but heaven help you if you do the same to me—I’m the only one allowed to worry in this family.’ Not to mention the fact I’ve never stayed away from home before. No, I’m sure Mitchell is feeling just fine that his accusations proved correct, that we did end up in bed together. My God, what must he think of me?” And if the embarrassment of admitting her lack of a sex life hadn’t been enough to completely humiliate her, then bursting into tears left her in no doubt.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:
Sydney-born Donna Gallagher decided at an early age that life needed be tackled head on.
Leaving home at 15 she supported herself through her teen years.
In her twenties she married a professional sportsman, her love of sport -- especially rugby league -- probably overriding her good sense.

The seven-year marriage was an adventure. There were the emotional ups and downs of having a husband with a public profile in a sometimes glamorous but always high-pressure field. There were always interesting characters to meet and observe and even the opportunity to live for a time in the UK.

Eventually Donna returned home a single woman, but she never lost her passion for watching sport, as well as the people in and around it.

Now happily re-married and with three sons Donna loves coffee mornings with her female friends, sorting through problems from the personal to the international. But she's on even footing with the keenest man when it comes to watching and talking rugby league.

Donna considers herself something of a black sheep in a family of high achievers. Her brother has a doctorate in mathematics and her sister is a well-known sports journalist.

An avid reader, especially of romance, Donna finally found she couldn't stop the characters residing in her imagination from spilling onto paper. Naturally rugby league is the backdrop to her League of Love Series, published through UK publisher Total-E-Bound, spicy tales of hunky heroes and spunky heroines overcoming adversity to eventually find true love.

Interview
What inspired you to write your first book?
Nano write a book in a month got me writing again after many, many years. But in 5th grade, when asked to write a paragraph, I would write pages and pages. My teacher, Mr Kuykendall, gave me a journal to finish by the end of the year. That was my first book. (It was close to 300 pages hand written.) I would love to find that thing!

My dad was an author, and my mother was an amazing writer, so it’s in my blood. We all write completely different styles but maybe it has something to do with this path of mine. It was fun going to book signing with my dad as a kid. He always said , “What if…” …that is how he would always begin his talks. I think it is funny I have heard other authors begin their talks almost word for word how he did. My parents always encouraged us to use our imagination. It is funny because I never thought writing would be such a big part of my life. But I truly love it.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
I don’t know, I wish I had scheduled more time. Everything takes longer then you think.

Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Everything does takes longer then you think, and auto spell check is your worst nightmare! You really need to pay multiple editors to make sure everything is perfect and even then, your book will still be missing a period or something. I was warned by many authors that this would happen.

Do you have any advice for other writers?
I think the hardest thing, at least for me, was finding the time to do it. Once I had a family and responsibilities, they came first and writing needed to be dropped—it felt like leisure. But if writing is in your soul, you have to make time-- even if it is in stolen moments with a tattered notebook. I didn’t write for years and it wasn’t until I began to write again that I realized something had been missing. Write, find time. You can.

What is the hardest part of writing for you?
Stupid edits. I love edits where I grow. But edits where auto spell check made definitively –defiantly or cheek-check, those are my pet peeves because often your eye overlooks them.

Which one of your characters is most like you?
It would be Nicole, as naïve, hardheaded and sassy as she is. I look for the good in people and sometimes it has put me in danger. I think in my books, I am trying to warn people things aren’t always as they seem.

What paranormal creature would you be if you could?
I would have to say a mermaid. I love to scuba dive. It feels like a dream. But I would only want to do it for a little while because I love to dance too much! I couldn’t imagine a life without Bachata! If you want something more mystical… maybe a shape shifter…

What's a typical working day like for you?
There is no typical day for me.

When and where do you write?
Anywhere. Anytime. Whenever my muse strikes I try. It often strikes when I am busy, but when I can I try and sneak away and jot my thoughts down..

Do you set a daily writing goal?
I don’t. I have written 10,000 in a day and 0. It really depends on if no one is around. Or what I have to get done. I try not to shut myself away from the world too long, but if no one is around and facebook doesn’t draw me in (lol-I love my facebook family!) I can be pretty diligent.

I loved Nano. Man, that little writing widget, that was awesome. I loved the little graph etc that told you how many words you needed to hit to reach your goal. It helped a lot with my first book. My second, much of it, I did set monthly goals but editing really pulls you away and is so much slower. Sometimes, if you squeak out 100 words you are a success.

What question have you always wanted to be asked in an interview?
If I were a celebrity who would I be?

How would you answer that question?
I think Angelina Jolie. I love volunteering. And I think it is inspiring that
1) Not only did she survive abuse but kicked its butt
2) She looks like she’s an amazing fighter
3) She gives back to the world
4) Family is important.
5) She is gorgeous
6) She is adventurous.
7) She’s an amazing actress. (One of the things I wanted to be when I grew up)
I hated her at first because I love Jennifer Aniston but I think if I was able to make that kind of money I would love to give back the way she has. This is my answer today. Tomorrow it will probably be someone else but right now, her strength as a woman came to mind.

If you were writing a book about your life, what would the title be?
I have started it. It is called Because of Love. Parts are painful so I have put it down for a bit. I hope to pick it up again this year. There are sacrifices we make ‘because of love’, secrets we keep ‘because of love’ and sometimes the only way we can survive is ‘because of love.’ It may be coming out later this year.

What is the first book you remember reading?
Not a children’s book… I loved The Outsiders by SE Hinton. I have dyslexia so I never was a big reader growing up. That was the first book I remember not being able to put down.

If zombies attack which of your characters would you want at your side?
I would say Chris could probably help the most. But I would have to choose Dylan –because Chris is Emily—my best friend’s guy. Yes, I would say Dylan because he is an incredible fighter and when we weren’t fighting the sex would be amazing!

Thank you so much for having me Pam.
Thank you for joining me today!

Breathe - Review

Hi all here is number 8 on my TBR pile Challenge.

Breathe (Breathe, #1)Breathe by Sarah Crossan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The oxygen level outside the Pods are so low it is hard if not impossible to live outside. Inside the Pods there are different areas for people. Some like the Premiums have it made they can have more kids and get more privileges like more oxygen. Auxiliaries don't have much in the pods. They get less air and have hardly any privileges. Bea is an auxiliaries and tries everything to get out of that life. She is best friends with Quinn a Premium and secretly cares deeply for him. They plan a trip outside the pod not knowing their lives are about to change. Alina is part of the resistance and has to get out of the Pod quick when officials go looking for her. She uses Quinn to do so and leads them into more danger than they know. They all are about to discover there are secrets they don't know that could change their lives and everyone in the pods as well.

This book is a good read. I really liked the plot of the book. The world not having many trees is easy to believe it could happen. Corrupt goverment is another easy belief. I really liked Bea she is sweet but she can be tough when she has to. Quinn I liked because even if he is stupid when it comes to girls he does what is right in the end and doesn't let anyone stop him. Alina I didn't care much for. I don't know why but she just got on my nerves she was so cocky at times. The flow of the story is nice and steady. It just for some reason fell flat for me I did enjoy it but it wasn't all that I was expecting. I will read the next book when it comes out to see how it goes. It just felt like things got rushed in the end to me. Knowing there is going to be a next book helps with wondering what next but I would have liked the ending of this one to be a little less rushed. If you like Dystopian books pick this one up. It is good just not my favorite.

Blurb-

Touch me, and bring me to life...

How do you move on when you don’t even know where you were going in the first place?

The Spirit Stalker is dead and I have finally started to erect my life. But I quickly discover, that just because the structure is built doesn’t mean the foundation is sturdy. As much as I try to manage my abilities, I can’t completely control them. The physical impossibility of the relationship I have with Justice has reached a boiling point; our fundamental problem is my inability to control myself from absorbing his power, and his fears of touching me because of it.

As if that wasn’t deal-breaker enough, a new threat looms on my horizon - Darklings.
They are grim reapers of the immortal world who surface every five-hundred-years to feed off the souls of magical beings who are weak, aimless, lost; those who have given up and want to move on.

They also hunt power. Which means, they’re hunting me.

Abandoned by the one person I need the most, I find myself in Melenia’s realm. There, I’m courted by Siberian, a dangerous pixie who covets me, hunted by Death personified; all the while hiding my powers and my ancient bloodline. The pixie prince is alluring, and I feel so broken and vulnerable. I know giving in to him means giving myself over to him. But right now, I don’t care. All I want is to feel anything other than the loss and rejection Justice left me with.
Anything other than pain.

So what do I do when I’m scared to be touched, even though I know it’s the only way to bring my soul back to life?

Now for the cover!!!

Excerpt- Justice’s POV

We land right outside the gates of Keelin Castle. Extinguishing ourselves, we descend on the palace.
Walking authoritatively, we make our way down the nave-like hallway of the castle to the huge, golden double doors at the end. The throne room.
“Are you sure that’s where she’ll be?” Derrin asks snidely. “She might be waiting in her chambers for you.”
“Well if she is, she’ll be waiting a while.”
“It could be a good way to get some of your frustrations out,” he says boorishly.
“There’s more than one way to release frustration,” I threaten him.
“Bring it, bitch,” he grabs his crotch, not intimidated at all.
Asshole.
I push open the throne room doors, and as expected, we see the pixie queen perched on her throne waiting for us.
Emery surveys us as we approach. Both Derrin and I give a small nod in due respect as we reach her, but don’t be deceived, we are the supreme strata.
“Your little human has caused quite a stir,” she says evenly, but I can see the danger flashing in her eyes.
“She was the one who was attacked,” I quickly defend Liv.
“Was she? Or did she bring it on herself?”
My look becomes more intense. “What are you talking about?”
“My brother has taken quite a liking to her you know,” Emery says randomly.
Yes, I’ve noticed.
“If your brother knows what’s best for him, he will disappear from her life,” I say through clenched teeth.
Or I’ll remove him myself.
Emery’s eyes become razor sharp at my comment - she’s realized something. She slips off her throne and stalks down the three slate stairs to the floor where Derrin and I are standing. Like Liv, she is tiny, with long hair blacker than night and almond eyes just like Melenia’s.
“What is so special about this human?” she looks up at me, searing the question straight into my soul.
“Nothing,” I snap, but Emery knows me. She sees right through my lies.
“Then it will be nothing if I send the royal guard to take care of her, and rid my land of such contaminants.”
“Do it, and I will burn this entire realm to the ground,” I growl.
Her eyes grow a little wider, but she doesn’t back down from my glare.
“You love her.”
“No.”
“You deny it?”
“Yes.”
No.
“You loved me once,” she says vulnerably.
“What we had was never love,” I bite, “just sex.”
Ouch. That was harsh, even for me.
Emery’s eyebrows crease, and I know I have hurt her deeply.
It’s not a lie, I never loved her. We did have an intense physical relationship that included some emotion, but it’s incomparable to what I have with Liv.
She backs away from me, shifting her eyes between me and Derrin.
Derrin clears his throat. “Not to interrupt this lover’s quarrel,” that I highly enjoy watching, he tells me telepathically, “but what exactly did you mean when you said she brought it on herself?”
Emery’s full attention falls upon Derrin.
“Siberian didn’t give me all the details, but apparently she used her powers on him, and what she did, he described only as provocative.”
I clench my jaw. Provocative?
Images of Liv and Siberian reel through my head. What did she do to him? What did he do to her?
The thought makes me furious.
I’ve damaged us so badly; she turned to a threat more dangerous than the Darklings. And the only thing I can do about it is blame myself.
“So, is she in trouble?” Derrin goes on. “Is there anything we need to be aware of?” he hints. “Besides you sending the royal guard and Siberian?”
Emery contemplates Derrin’s questions for a short second. “Besides Darklings, what else should there be?” She looks over at me as I stand there still-stocked, trying not to give away the anger boiling over in my chest at the thought of Liv and Siberian.
“Who is this girl, exactly?” she pries deeper now, and I know we are heading into hazardous territory.
“She’s no one you have to be concerned about,” I dodge the question. “We just need to know if you’ve caught wind of any unusual uprisings?”
She is simultaneously lost and absolutely intrigued as she stares at me decisively. “No, nothing.”
I nod, and release an almost nonexistent sigh of relief.
“Do I have your word she won’t be harmed while she’s in Devonshire?” I phrase it as a question, but she understands my query is so much more than that. It’s a threat.
She nods her displeasure with a small, irritated frown.
We’ve collected the information we came for, and I’ve had enough of Emery’s probing stares. Surrendering to the ever-present pull drawing me back to Liv, and preparing for the shit-storm I’m sure awaits me once I see her, I turn to leave.
“What should I tell my brother?” Emery calls, taunting me. “He wants her.”
I turn back and glare at her. “Tell him he couldn’t handle her, even if he got her.” Then I slam the throne room door behind me, the sound echoing throughout the castle.
That pixie prick is dead.

What in the hell was wrong with this picture? She was at a retreat, or what she liked to think of as a stupid idea someone with too much time had come up with to push her and her coworkers into learning to communicate better, get a feel for what each employee wanted to get out of the job, and figure out a way to provide better service…and some other crap she couldn’t remember at the moment.

Why in the world did she have to be there? She slapped her calf, killing off another mosquito. Darkness enveloped the group around the campfire, which made it easy for her glance over to the side and chug on the wine bottle, the one she had strategically placed next to the tree trunk she sat on. Everyone was so involved in “sharing” that they didn’t notice her getting drunk in the back, alone. And that was perfectly fine by her.

If only they would stop the incessant chatter already and send her off to bed, giving her some peace. But if she went to bed in her very lonely cabin, she wouldn’t be able to watch Max.

She glanced off to the side, as if admiring the scenery, and took another gulp of wine, the fruity flavor no longer bursting on her tongue but mixing with the lingering sweetness from her previous swig.

“Sabrina?” Eve’s sharp tone made her jerk to face the rest of the group. Normally she wouldn’t mind being called by her real name, though everyone outside of work knew her as Nina, but the way Eve said it, with so much severity, it made her want to wince.

“Hmm?”

The outdoors and nature did nothing to smooth out Eve’s harsh features. Nor did she look anywhere near friendly with the glare she directed toward Nina. Nina had to fight the urge to giggle every time Eve looked at her that way. Eve reminded her of Cruella de Vil.

“I asked if there was anything you’d like to add to the discussion?”

Nina’s gaze slid past Eve to lock on Max. His lips quirked, almost like he knew exactly what she’d been doing. Too bad he was so far away and there were all those people there, or she’d finally do something about the attraction that didn’t let her sleep. She was ready to finally give in to temptation and have her way with him. Screw the fact that they worked together. Or better said, she worked for him.

“No, Eve. I think what you have shared covers all the important points we’re here to discuss.” Lie. She had no clue what Eve had been saying.

Eve’s frown smoothed, and she lifted her chin. “Thank you, Sabrina.” She turned back to the others, effectively dismissing her. “As I was saying…”

Nina shut Eve’s low, droning voice out of her mind again and peeked down a passageway between the trees. There was enough light from the campsite, she could just make out her way down the path. Curiosity got a hold of her. She stood on wobbly legs and blinked. The group spun out of focus for a second.

“Sabrina?”

Nina took a few steps toward the dimly lit passage in the woods before she turned to Max’s enquiring voice. “I’m just going to the ladies room for a moment.” She pointed in the direction of the trees.

“Wait! That’s not…”

She ignored Max’s call to her and strolled off, breaking twigs and dead leaves with each step. Mosquitoes nibbled on her legs, each bite a constant reminder that she wished she was home in her bed, relaxing, or at least with someone that would help her fight the arousal shooting through her whenever she glanced at Max. But she’d broken up with her last boyfriend a while back. Since he didn’t get the message that she was no longer interested, she had stopped going to the places she might encounter him.

With each step she took, the sound of the river beckoned her in its direction. Her foot caught, and she tripped on a branch. She squealed as the earth tilted in front of her. Rocky ground rushed up to meet her face.

A strong pair of hands grabbed her by the waist and hauled her backward. “I got you.” Max’s deep voice caressed her ear while he helped her straighten.

Swooshing from water streaming nearby and crickets, somewhere in the vicinity, were the only sounds to be heard. Each noise drove home the fact she was outdoors and anyone could come by, not that she cared.

He shifted her in his arms until she faced him, her front leaning heavily into his muscled body. She sighed, glancing up into his shadowed face. Not that she needed light to know what his delectable square jaw looked like. Or how brilliant his blue eyes were. He leaned back into a thick tree trunk, pulling her with him.

Slow caresses trailed down her back, making her shiver and her blood thicken in her veins. With each intimate touch, her body throbbed. It was time to stop torturing herself. She couldn’t fight her body any longer.

“I think you’ve had a few too many, beautiful. Let’s get you back to your cabin.”

“No.” She lifted on the tips of her trainers, curled her hands around his neck, and pulled his head down to her. “Now stop torturing me, and kiss me, damn it.”

He groaned softly. “Sabrina, you’ve definitely had too much to drink. Sneaking in wine was not part of the agenda, you know.” He stroked down her spine to the curve of her ass and palmed her cheeks.

She huddled closer, cradling his erection in the juncture of her thighs. “I know it wasn’t, but Eve is boring. And it’s not that I’ve had too much too much to drink. I’ve just had enough, Max. I’m tired of fighting this. I want you.”

“Baby, you hate my guts.” He chuckled, lowered, and dropped a kiss on her nose.

Arousal gathered inside her, heating her blood by more degrees than she cared to admit. “No. I don’t hate you. I just don’t like that I want you so much.” She kissed his jaw, loving the sound of his sharp inhale when she licked his neck.

“Sabrina…”

Breaths mingled, gazes connected, and wet heat dripped from her sex. It was pure torture to have his sexy mouth so close and not get a taste. “Just kiss me, Max. I need you.”

Peaks of tension zigzagged inside her and made her shudder. He held her neck with one hand, tilted her head back, and swooped down for a kiss. Potent need, unlike any she’d ever felt before, possessed her. She whimpered into the sensual kiss. Each swipe of his tongue over hers added kindling to the explosions going off inside her. She raked her nails down his T-shirt, over his hard-muscled chest, and to his jeans. “Fuck me.”

He drew back from their kiss, ending the twining of their tongues. A scowl, deeply etched on his face, showed his disbelief at her words. But this time she wasn’t going with logic. She decided to give in to what her body desired. And it desired Max.

“Sabr—” One soft moan left his lips when she gripped his cock over his jeans.

“Max, this isn’t a game. I want to see you.” She panted, unbuckling his belt. “I want to touch you.” Excitement rushed through her, urging her to unzip his jeans. “I want to taste you…”

Fang Girl - Review

Here is number 7 of my TBR pile Reading Challenge. This is a very funny and good book.

Fang GirlFang Girl by Helen Keeble
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jane wakes up in a coffin and realizes she is a vampire. Her sire is chased off before she can answer any questions so now Jane has to figure out where to go and what to do. She decides to call her dad and mum to come get her. The problem with that they think she is dead. When they get passed the fact she is back they do all they can to help her. her little brother thinks she is a zombie instead of a vampire. While trying to figure things out, her sire is making calls to her with not a lot of info, she also has to figure out which vampire elders are telling her the truth, why she seems different than other vamps and stay away from the vamp hunters. This is a lot for a 15 year old to deal with.

Jane is such a fun character. She knows what she is she just has to figure out why her. She at times seems a typical teen. Other times while in danger she uses her head and tries to think things thru. Her family is just amazing. They jump right in trying to find stuff for her to eat, which leads to some hysterical scenes, trying to keep her out of the sun in some funny place and even keeping an eye on her with boys around. Even being a vampire she still has rules to follow lol. You have Van and Ebon as well two guys both with different ideas for Jane and she has to figure out which to trust if either of them.

This book is not to be taken series. It is for laughs and you get a lot of them in this book. I love all the little things the author added to make the story pop. It has a great plot that keeps you from putting the book down. Lots of action and mystery that will keep those pages turning. The family will have you loving them from the start. If you are looking for a light funny vampire book pick this up. It even has a vampire fish.

Persistence of Vision Blog Tour - Review, Guest Post

Hey everyone! Today I am thrilled to take part in the Persistence of Vision Blog Tour. This book is fantastic! I have a review of the book and a guest post by the author Liesel K. Hill for you all. First here is some about the book!

Blurb
In a world where collective hives are enslaving the population and individuals have been hunted to the verge of extinction, Maggie Harper, and independent 21st Century woman, must find the strength to preserve the freedom of the future, but without the aid of her memories.

After experiencing a traumatic time loss, Maggie is plagued by a barrage of images she can't explain. When she's attacked by a creep with a spider's web tattoo, she is saved by Marcus, a man she's never met, but somehow remembers. He tells her that both he and her creepy attacker are from a future in which individuals are being murdered by collectives, and Marcus is part of the rebellion. The collectives have acquired time travel and they plan to enslave the human race throughout all of history. The flashes Maggie has been seeing are echoes of lost memories, and the information buried deep within them is instrumental in defeating the collective hives.

In order to preserve the individuality of mankind, Maggie must try to re-discover stolen memories, re-kindle friendships she has no recollection of, and wade through her feelings for the mysterious Marcus, all while dodging the tattooed assassins the collectives keep sending her way.

If Maggie can't fill the holes in her memory and find the answers to stop the collectives, the world both in her time and in all ages past and future will be doomed to enslavement in the grey, mediocre collectives. As the danger swirls around her and the collectives close in, Maggie realizes she must make a choice: stand out or fade away...

*New Adult futuristic dystopian fantasy

My Review
Maggie our main character really makes it easy to understand the world you find yourself in.At first we see she is afraid and scared as she and her brother have a lapse in memory and lose 12 hours. She really grows and comes into her own as the story progresses. I love how you get to see her compare the different time periods. Marcus I love. He seems so strong, so caring and he even has a power that I think suits him perfectly. There is tons more of characters to get to know but these two are my favorites.

The plot will pull you right in and won't let you go. A future time where the world has totally change is explained in a way that makes it seem it could happen. The author does a wonderful job explaining how hings came to be. It seems like quite a bit of research went into the background of the story and it pays off. You really get a feel for the book. This book has plenty of action as you get to discover the different sides of the future. People have some fantastic powers that I love discovering. You even get some romance that adds the perfect touch to the book. Believe me it has it all. Be sure to pick this book up for a whole new world in which you believe could really happen. There is some mystery to it that adds a nice flair as well. I don't give spoilers just know this author and book are wonderful.

My Top Ten Most Romantic Movies

My romantic movies may be different than others. Notice how there aren’t any romantic comedies on the list. While I do like a few such films, it’s generally not their depth or even their romance that draws me, so I don’t consider them the most romantic films.

  1. The Last of the Mohicans—one of my favorite movies of all time, and a lot of that is because of the romance.
  2. Legends of the Fall—ridiculously tragic, but one that will stay with your forever. The romance is very much of the unrequited type, and the type that is requited still doesn’t end well.
  3. Jane Eyre—the most recent awesome version starred Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender but in truth, I’ve never seen a film version of JE I haven’t liked. It’s just such a great story that it’s hard to actually screw it up.
  4. Pride and Prejudice—the classic version is the Colin Firth one from a while back, now, but the more recent big screen versions with Kiera Knightly and Matthew McFadden playing Darcy got no complaints at all. :D (Although the actors did say the lines really fast.)
  5. Titanic—I know, I know, the guys hate me for this one, but it was ridiculously romantic, not just because of the relationship, but because of how it changed her life.
  6. Phantom of the Opera—astounding music and a plotline that keeps you guessing. I loved this film, even if Christine isn’t the strongest female character. The end is downright haunting.
  7. Braveheart—Mel Blue-Eyes Gibson fighting a war to avenge the woman he loved and secretly married. With a Scottish accent? Yeah, I’ll watch that.
  8. The Notebook—In my opinion, sometimes Nicholas Sparks hits the nail on the head and sometimes he cops out completely. But this was one he did wonderfully. Even macho guys have to pretend to have something in their eye the first time they watch it.
  9. Camelot/First Knight—If you’re okay with the devastatingly tragic version, go with the 1960s Camelot or 1998’s Mists of Avalon. First Knight features Sean Connery as King Arthur and, while no less tragic, is definitely more uplifting. One thing every version has in common? Heart-wrenching romance.
  10. Walk the Line—the romance in this one was a long time in coming but was made all the more powerful by the fact that it was the true story of a legendary singer.
  11. Casablanca—What can I say? I was someone who hated—that’s right ha-ted—Gone With the Wind, but I really loved Casablanca. There’s a reason it’s a classic and often tops the lists of most romantic movies of all time.

Yeah, that was eleven, but I could have named a whole lot more! Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone!
