Excerpt
When Bronwyn was satisfied they wouldn't be seen, she pushed him back against a car and nuzzled into his neck, inhaling the heady scent of evil. “Tell me how they scream,” she whispered. “Tell me how they beg,” Bronwyn purred into his ear.
The man looked at her, a flicker of anger crossing his face, how could this woman, this girl, know his secrets?
“I can see it in your mind; I know all of your secrets.”
He reached his arm back to slap her but Bronwyn caught his hand before it could hit her. She smiled wickedly at him; letting her fangs descend, slowly. His face went ghostly pale and her smiled widened.
“Don’t hurt me,” the man begged her.
“I think it’s a little late for that, don’t you?” she whispered and sank her teeth into his neck. He screamed, but Bronwyn didn't do anything to stop him; she wanted him to be afraid, wanted him to know he was going to die. His blood had a sickly sweet taste to it, like fruit that had gone bad, but she loved it. She loved the warmth it created as it ran in rivers down her face and throat.
She pulled back to look into his eyes once more. “This is for all of the innocents who have died at your hand.” The look of pure terror in his eyes fueled the fire within her and she tore into his throat one last time. She drank until just before his heart stopped beating then discarded him like the trash he was.
Bronwyn wandered the parking lot until she found Ronan. He was walking back to the bar, wiping his face on the sleeve of his jacket.
Bronwyn’s eyes glowed an icy blue in the darkness around her; her fangs still covered in blood.

Jessica Gibson is a recovering bookaholic, she's down from four books a week to a more reasonable one. It was that love of words and creativity that made her dream about writing her first book. That dream was hidden for years, always put on the back burner, filed away in the "someday" section, until her husband Matt gave her the kick in the pants she needed to actually get off her butt and write.
Jessica and Matt live in Southern California and have a serious addiction to reality tv shows like Pawn Stars and American Restoration. They have one son and hope to add to the family in the near future.
