The Bannockburn Spell Excerpt Tour & Giveaway

Hey everyone today I am taking part in the Excerpt tour for The Bannockburn Spell Excerpt tour. I have info on the book, an excerpt and a giveaway for you all!

The Bannockburn Spell
by Nancy Adams
BLURB:

With the help of a bet, an eight-hundred-year-old marriage contract, and a spell, ex-SBS soldier Will might just have enough in his arsenal to capture Meghan’s heart.

Since arriving in Little Glen, Scotland, Meghan Kennedy’s life has got decidedly more interesting. She enters into a bet with hunky ex-SBS soldier, William MacKenzie, discovers an ancient marriage contract and to top it all off, she learns that she had a spell cast on her…eight hundred years before she was even born. None of it matters, because she refuses to make the same mistake twice. Will’s hard body and sexy grin don’t matter, his beautiful hypnotic eyes don’t matter, and it doesn’t matter that every time they kiss her body calls out for his, as though denied of his touch for hundreds of years.

Ex-SBS soldier William MacKenzie is disciplined, trained to be an efficient soldier and he takes the same approach with his life as he does his business. Then Meghan arrives, with her fiery temper and hair to match, all he can think about is Meghan. Her feisty temper bemuses him, her beauty astounds him and her stubbornness annoys the hell out of him. Lucky for him, he doesn’t know how to quit, he can be just as stubborn and occasionally ruthless, and he will use any means necessary to get her. Of course the ‘means’ at his disposal just happen to be a bet, a marriage contract and an ancient spell, but if in the end Meghan belongs to him, who is he to argue?

Excerpt
Meghan was alluring during the day, but when she was lying in her bed she was even more so. The book Will had brought with him was supposed to be a distraction. Unfortunately, all good intentions were thrown out of the window when she started to turn in her sleep. First, a long bare leg draped across the top of the blankets. He stared at the silky limb for a long time before he forced himself back to the book he was holding. Turning a second time caused the blanket to lower, revealing full breasts straining against her shirt. What broke his restraint was when she lifted her arms over her head and the movement pulled her T-shirt up, exposing the flat smooth plain of her stomach.
So much for reading. He tossed the book to the floor and placed his head in his hands. Instantly, images of her ran through his head like an erotic film. His mouth pulling on those lush breasts, kissing the quivering skin of her stomach, caressing her bare legs, cupping her slick heat.
Jerking up, he paced around the room, and automatically searched for her form lying beneath the covers. He ran a hand over his face. He wasn’t dense. He knew when he was fighting a losing battle. Out of sheer desperation, he began reasoning with himself. She was in such a deep sleep that she probably wouldn’t notice if he joined her.
No! He couldn’t do that. It wasn’t right. He should leave, it would be better for both of them that way. A dark thought caused him to frown. What if she had another attack and he couldn’t hear her? Every muscle in his body clenched tight at the idea.
He paused. It was a familiar tightness that he had experienced once before, and he knew with his entire being that it was Meghan he had walked away from. A memory whirled into focus before him—Meghan, with tears trailing down her cheeks, her hands shaking as she waved one final time. That sad look on her face had nearly killed him. He blinked and the memory he never knew he had vanished. He studied the beauty lying on the bed. No! He couldn’t leave her, wouldn’t leave her. His mind was made up.
He sighed again. “Shit!” He mumbled softly as he approached her still form. I won’t even touch her, he promised. Just…stretch out beside her. That promise was broken the very second he joined her.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:
I am a full-blooded Canadian, right down to the maple syrup running through my veins. I enjoy watching hockey, but despise skating...and the cold. I enjoy a good helping of Tourtiere with a side of Poutine as must as the next person, yet I am only bilingual when it comes to swear words. I am proud to say I survived my token shot of Newfie Screech, although I did refuse to kiss the Cod - that is never going to happen - and I openly admit, that I fell in love with the Rocky Mountains the first time I saw them.

I have many occupations written down in my passport, mom, wife, author...zookeeper! However, I have to say that writing is by far the easiest part of my day.

I have three small -but legal- addictions: bed lines, lavender, and books. All of which, are replenished on a regular basis. Reading into the wee hours of the morning, is one of many bad habits, next to spontaneously rearranging furniture and randomly painting rooms in my house.
