"It's not you."
There are only so many times a girl can hear those words before she believes that it is, in fact, very much her. Unexpectedly jilted by her locally famous boyfriend and haunted by a boss who makes Attila the Hun look like a lap dog, Bellamy Blake does what any self-respecting girl in her shoes would do. She rounds up her two best girlfriends and makes plans to get the hell out of Dodge.
But Bellamy's escape plan takes a nose dive on the side of rural route 164 when her transmission self-destructs, leaving her in the middle of a cell phone dead zone with nothing but her wits. Oh, and Shane Griffin, the hottest mechanic who's ever checked under her hood.
Yet this small-town man isn't all he seems. Can Shane and Bellamy prove that sometimes the most unlikely ingredients make the most deliciously sexy mix?
My Review
Bellamy wants a getaway not only from her horrible boss but from her boyfriend who she just broke up with. She along with her two best friends decide to take a little trip. Along the way her car breaks down and her transmission gives out. She has no cell phone coverage and after walking to the small time garage she comes across Shane. Shane loves working on cars and helping out his friends. When he first meets Bellamy he thinks she is just a rich snotty woman but he quickly sees different. They begin to spend time together while they wait for the parts to fix her car but they seem worlds apart. Even falling in love may not be enough when Shane's secrets come out.
Bellamy is not a happy person at first. She hates her job and boss and really loves to cook. She is happiest in a kitchen but never thought she could make it a career. The more she begins to let her worries go you see how nice and how sexy she can be. I have to say I fell for Shane from the beginning. I love a mechanic and how he is with cars is just amazing. He is also a very caring wonderful guy who will do anything to help his friends. I liked both of these characters and the side characters as well.
This is a very enjoyable hot book that you won't want to set down. I kept getting interrupted while I was reading it and wanted to go hide so I could finish it. Two people from different worlds don't seem like they would be a good match but these two are. Bellamy is afraid to disappoint her parents and to do what makes her really happy. It takes her friends and Shane to show her she can do what she loves. I love the bond Shane has with his boss and his friends. He is always trying to take of his boss in so many ways. He has a secret and is struggling but he doesn't want to ask for help from anyone. He hates city living and never wants to go back to that life but Bellamy makes him want more. They have lots of chemistry between them and it clearly shows. I love how they get snowed in together. There is several hot scenes to get your blood pumping as well. I have to say I was surprised at Shane's secret. It leads to a few touching moments. If you enjoy a nice hot romance you will surely enjoy this one.

Author Info
Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2011 RWA Golden Heart® finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. She has written two digital novellas, Love On The Line and Drawing The Line, about hot cops and sexy chefs, with a third novella, Outside The Lines, due this summer. She is also thrilled to have collaborated on a Christmas anthology with Donna Kauffman and Kate Angell, titled The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap, to kick off her Pine Mountain foodie series with Kensington this October. Kimberly’s first full-length novel, Turn Up the Heat, will follow in February 2014. She resides in northern Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.
