Feature & Follow #6

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’sView and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
I am loving this feature and meeting so many new people and wonderful blogs. This week Question is.

Q: What is the last book that made you cry? Tell us about the scene...
It is bad to say I can't remember the last book that made me cry. I never really cry much. I do remember I was going through a tough time earlier this year and I do remember almost crying while I was reading one book. That book is

Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Until, that is, she receives a summons from Alexandria that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean. But Egypt may hold more mysteries than even the indomitable Lady Maccon can handle. What does the vampire Queen of the Alexandria Hive really want from her? Why is the God-Breaker Plague suddenly expanding? And how has Ivy Tunstell suddenly become the most popular actress in all the British Empire?

I don't want to give any spoilers but the scene was one were something bad happen to one of the main characters . I almost cried because I had grown to love this character.

Thank you for stopping by. Let me know that you did and I will return the follow or visit your blog!

  4. This looks like a good series! I really hate when your favorite characters die; I cry very little but I still get a little upset over dramatic deaths; even if they are fictional, that's how you know a book is good - when you actually have an emotional response :P

Also - thanks for following my blog :)
