Seaside Hearts
Seaside Summers # 2
By: Melissa Foster
Releasing October, 2014

Blurb
Jenna Ward is vivacious, spontaneous, and confident—except when she’s around the man who stole her heart years earlier, strikingly handsome, quiet, and reliable Pete Lacroux. After years of trying to get his attention and overwhelmed from dealing with her mother’s new cougar lifestyle, Jenna’s giving up on Peter—and is ready to explore other men.

As the eldest of five siblings, with an alcoholic father to care for, boat craftsman Pete Lacroux always does the right thing and has no time for a real relationship. He’s looking forward to seeing his friend Jenna, a welcome distraction who’s so damn sexy and so painfully shy that she equally entertains and confuses him.

When Jenna picks up a hard-bodied construction worker, jealousy ignites Pete’s true feelings, and he’s powerless to ignore the desires for Jenna he never realized he had. But Pete’s not the quiet guy he appears to be, and his life is anything but conducive to a relationship. Can Jenna handle the real Pete Lacroux—the sexiest, most passionate alpha male she’s ever seen—or will she crack under pressure? And can Pete reclaim the life he once had without tearing apart his family?

SEASIDE SUMMERS is the newest addition to the LOVE IN BLOOM series, featuring a group of fun, sexy, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They’re funny, flawed, and will have you begging to enter their circle of friends. You met them in READ, WRITE, LOVE, (The Remingtons, Book 5), follow these friends on their search for forever love in the Seaside Summers series. COMING SUMMER 2014.

My Review
Jenna has wanted Pete for years. With anyone else she is outgoing and very spunky. Around him she just bottles up and doesn't know how to act. This summer she has decided to give up on him and move on. She has had to deal with her mother going through a phase of acting and dressing young and now she just ants to kick back with her friends and have fun. Pete is a hard worker who likes Jenna but thinks she is to shy for him. He has his own problems to deal with as well. His father is an alcoholic and he doesn't want to drag anyone else into his family mess. Even if he has had his eye on the sexy Jenna previous summers he never acted on it. However when she begins to flirt and date a construction worker he sees he may have lost his chance with her. Now he sets out to show her how sexy he can be and how bad he wants her. He just has to hope she won't run when she finds out about his family and how passionate he can be.

Jenna is a super sexy woman who is proud of who she is but not in a conceited way. She can be shy with only one person Pete but she has to come out of that shell. She wants what her friends are finding, the zing and sparks she knows comes with true love. She is a great friend and tries to have patience with her mother. I like her and would love to hang out with her. Pete has seemed kinda quiet in other books I have read in this series. He really is anything but that. He has a lot going on and just doesn't want to drag anyone into that mess. He takes care of his dad and tries to make sure his brothers and sister have what they want and are took care of. He is very funny at times and really sexy when he brings it out. I like how he has deeper feelings he finally starts to show with Jenna.

It's nice getting to see all the different sides of these characters in this series. They are all great friends and watching them find love has been a joy. Jenna has always stood out as the rock collecting sexy one to me. I knew she had a crush on Pete but wondered if she would ever get the chance to be with him. They both have a lot going on and don't really talk a whole lot about it. She has a mother who has suddenly wants to be her best friend instead of her mom. Pete has been struggling to get his dad the helps he needs but he won't go. It's only when he finally sees Jenna for the woman she really is that he makes a move and he decides he will not let her go. Jenna helps him see that he doesn't have to be alone in trying to help his dad. I love how the two learn to lean on and help each other. They are very hot together and have more than enough Zing. There is some laughs in this book as well. Just like the others you feel you are reading about friends. I eagerly look forward to seeing more of these characters and learning more about new ones.
