Sweet Reckoning : Review

Sweet Reckoning (The Sweet Trilogy #3)
by Wendy Higgins

Blurb
It’s time.

Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.

The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.

In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

My Review

Anna knows the final battle is coming. She is rounding up her allies to be prepare for the final battle against the Dukes. The Dukes begin to suspect her and send in the man she loves to follow her around and bring her in Kaidan has to follow a thin line so no one knows where his loyalty lies. They have a short time to be prepared and Anna will have to look deep inside to see who to trust and who not to.

Anna really pushed her self in this book to believe in her self. She is going into danger and she knows it and tries her best to be prepared. She is one of my favorite female characters. She has did everything she could in this series to follow the plan for her to be rid of the demons and save the Nephilims. She has gave up a lot and in this book she is really put to the test. I love how strong she is even when she is scared she still tries. Kaidan sigh. After reading these books who wouldn't want Kaidan. He melts my heart every time I read about him and this book he really melted it. At times he has been the one to push Anna away and could act like a jerk but in this one you really see his caring and sweet side.

I have loved this series since the first book and now I have to say with this final book it will remain in my favorite series list forever. The author has done a phenomenal job creating characters you love and some you hate. In this final book the battle is coming closer. Anna has some decisions to make and some break her heart. She is at times not sure who is on her side and she has to be very brave. The sweet love between Kaidan and Anna turns up the heat a few notches. Besides the element of danger there is action in this book as well. There has to be an end to all this after all. Be prepared for a few shockers as well. I did not see some of them coming and while some could be sad others show you the power of love. I absolutely adored the ending and while I hate to see the series end the author does a wonderful job wrapping it up. Of course I would love to see more just because I love it so much. If you have never read this series you must do so.

5 out of 5 Stars
