Hi everyone! I have a stop on the Sisters In Love Blog Tour today. I have a review of the book, an excerpt and giveaway for you all.
Sisters In Love
The Snow Sisters Series Book One
By: Melissa Foster
Releasing September 9th, 2013
Danica Snow has always been the smart, practical, and appropriate sister. As a therapist, she prides herself on making reasonable, conservative choices, even if a bit boring, and as part of the Big Sister Program, she has little time for anything more in her life.
Blake Carter is a player. He never gets bored of conquering women, and with his sexy good looks and successful lifestyle, he has no trouble finding willing participants. When his friend and business partner dies in a tragic accident, he suddenly, desperately, wants to change his ways. The problem is, he doesn’t know how to stop doing what he does best.
When Blake walks into Danica’s office, the attraction between them is white hot, but Danica isn't the type to give into the heat and risk her career. Danica’s desire sets her on a path of self-discovery, where she begins to question every decision she’s ever made. Just this once, Danica wants to indulge in the pleasures of life she’s been so willingly ignoring, but with her Little Sister in turmoil and her biological sister’s promiscuousness weighing heavily on her heart, she isn’t sure it’s the right time to set her desires free.
SISTERS IN LOVE is a light, uplifting work of women's fiction and will resonate with readers who enjoy emotional journeys of the heart with strong heroines and sexy, lovable heroes. Readers of books by Jane Porter and Beth Kendrick will enjoy Danica and Blake's story.
Danica and always done the right thing and been the responsible one. She is a therapist and loves helping in the Big Sister program. She tries to help her sister out and her Little Sister from the program as well. The one thing she doesn't want is a player. She meets Blake and doesn't like him from the start. They seem to bump into each other a bit and when his best friend and business partner dies he finds he needs someone to talk to. He has no trouble getting woman but he seems to be getting tired of it. He wants to be something more and Danica begins to help him sort his feelings. Danica also begins to loosen up some and she finds she wants Blake but knows that can't be. She has some serious things to think about and so does Blake. They both have to figure out how they are feeling and what they want in their future.
Blake is the sexy guy you want but know is bad for you. He truly wants to change and he realizes not everyone is how they seem. He doesn't know how to open up but tries his best to. Danica seems uptight in some ways as she has always had to be perfect in some ways. Her sister kinda runs wild but she has a good heart and Danica tries to help her and all the other people she meets. She loves helping kids and realizes the people she helps are helping her as well. Both Blake and Danica seem like two people who don't belong together but somehow even each other out.
I really liked this book and getting to know all the characters. You have tragedy, broken trust, hidden things that made these people the way they are, love, lust, friendship and so much more in this great book. I liked Blake from the start even if he is a player. You could tell he has more going on underneath all that and you just want to know more about him. Him being a hotty is just a bonus. Danica I liked but she grew more on me as she learned not to be so stiff and loosen up some about her clothes, life and really everything. I like how she cares about so many people. I was surprised in this book about a few things and was glad how they turned out. No I won't give away what but I have to say I was worried about how a character acted. If you like a story that is about people changing and that will keep you turning pages give this one a try. I look forward to the next book.
