Outside The Line Blog Tour - Review & Giveaway

Hi everyone! I have a stop on the Outside the Lines blog tour. There is a review and giveaway for you all!

Outside the Lines
By: Kimberly Kincaid
Releasing July 30th, 2013

As an ivy-league ER doctor who eats double shifts for breakfast (and lunch…and dinner), Blake Fisher has little appetite for anything other than work. Being on the staff at Brenstville Hospital means taking care of people, a need Blake understands all too well from losing his brother to cystic fibrosis eight years ago. When he’s asked to coordinate a carnival fundraiser for the cause, he jumps at the chance to help others with the disease…until it lands him side by side with the one woman he never thought he’d see again: his ex-fianc√©e.

Streetwise and rough around the edges, Jules Shaw is no stranger to earning a living through hard work. But when her job as the restaurant manager of Mac’s Diner puts her shoulder to really broad shoulder with Blake Fisher, she nearly balks. She’d rather dodge and deflect than admit the real reason she broke things off, but the catering contract for the carnival means big business for Mac’s, and feeding people is Jules’s lifeblood.

As Blake and Jules join reluctant forces, they quickly rediscover the spark between them. But the possibility of a future together hinges on coming clean about the past, with potentially devastating consequences. Can Blake and Jules overcome their drastically different backgrounds and learn to love again, or will they always be outside the lines?

My Review
Jules has had a rough life but has rose above it. She works hard at Mac's Diner and really loves what she does. She has a hard shell around her and doesn't allow many people in. She loves to cook and feed people who need it. She has come up with a great plan for a fundraiser. Th only problem is she has to work with Blake Fisher the man she was engaged to years ago and left. Blake also works hard at being a doctor he works double shifts all the time and is always trying to help people who are ill. He has never forgot Jules and the fundraiser to help raise money for cystic fibrosis has them growing close again all the while Jules still wants to keep secret why she left him years ago. The fund raiser means a lot to both of them as Blake's brother died years ago from it. Can they work things out or will Jules keep her secrets and not give love a chance again.

Jules is a hard working woman. She is the type of person who loves to feed people and no one will go hungry around her. She is sexy and loves her friends but is scared on the inside and thinks she isn't good enough. I really liked her and like all she has done to overcome her childhood. Blake is the sexy rich doctor who you would think would be conceited but he is far from it. He also works hard and doesn't want anyone to give him things he wants to work for them. He really cares for Jules even if she broke his heart years ago and left him with lots of questions. These two are very similar but both have things holding them back.

This is a quick read and a fantastic one. You really inside Jules and Blake's world and see where both are coming from. You grow to care for both of them as the author does a great job writing about them. Not only do you get a nice love story you also get a story of overcoming the odds and how people from different backgrounds can be the same. If you like a story about wonderful people you will love this one. I loved the ending as you know how hard Jules has worked and what she does makes a huge impact on your heart.

Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to √©clairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2011 RWA Golden Heart® finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. She has written two digital novellas, Love On The Line and Drawing The Line, about hot cops and sexy chefs, with a third novella, Outside The Lines, due this summer. She is also thrilled to have collaborated on a Christmas anthology with Donna Kauffman and Kate Angell, titled The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap, to kick off her Pine Mountain foodie series with Kensington this October.
