Blurb
Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it's more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he's been her best friend and confidant for better part of the last few years...and is so off limits. It's a good thing she's leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome. But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can't seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to Confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt...and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy on the eyes deacon...only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro's signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn't know what to think. She's torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn't want and the man she can't have. And she isn't sure how she can live with herself either way.

My Review
Lexie is fixing to go to Rome for a year abroad. She is glad to leave so she can get away from the guy who cheated on her. She has even more reason to go when she sleeps with her best friend and the guy who is always there for her. She isn't sure how she feels for him but she thinks she may love him. The only trouble is he is her step brother and she knows people will talk and they shouldn't have went there. While in Rome after a confessional she is sent to see a deacon named Alessandro. He is very good looking and close to becoming a priest. They work together and they become close. He listens to her problems and tries to help her. Lexie begins to have feelings for Alessandro but knows there is no way she can take him from his calling plus she isn't sure how she feels about Trent her step brother. She will have to sort her feelings before she takes a step with either man to see what is right for her and who she truly loves.

Lexie is smart, talented and very confused. She has been hurt by a cheating boy and now has to face the fact she may care more than she should. She tries her best to do what is right even when she wants to follow her heart she does try to think things out. Trent is sexy,a great person and always tries to be truthful to all girls. He has to sort his feelings for Lexie as well but tries to give her the distance she needs or what he thinks she needs. Alessandro is a deacon who has a bad past and is trying to make up for it. He has a calling and is sure this is what he wants. When he meets Lexie she makes him rethink all that. Not only does he listen to her he begins to fall for her and they have some great times with each other. These three are all great characters and you really get involved in their story.

I was expecting a great story but I had no idea what I was in for. I read this whole thing in one sitting cause I could not put it down. It has a wonderful blend of betrayal, lust, friendship, really growing up and so much more. I even laughed a few times one involving a water bomb really got me laughing because I have done that before but for different reasons. You really get to understand Lexie's feelings and see what a struggle she is making plus how strong she is because she can walk away from a situation I don't think I could have. So many lives change in this book and I really hope to see more of them because I think I am hooked on these fascinating people. I have to have more. If you want a wonderful book pick this one up. I can't say enough good things about it.
