My Review
Trying to get over a cheating ex Poppy writes a song and puts it on YouTube. Soon after that she meets Ty and begins to date him to try and get over her ex Cam. Ty has a band and wants to use her song. After that his band takes off and he becomes a star. Poppy and Ty have to deal with being apart, crazy fans and not having any privacy. When the stress becomes to much Poppy has to see which guy she wants the star or the ex.
Poppy is a wonderful character. She doesn't want fame but loves to write songs. She makes several mistakes that you would think a teen would do. She isn't perfect, she is confused at times and doesn't know how to deal with some things. Ty I really liked even if I wasn't sure about his actions sometimes. He seemed to really care for Poppy. Cam I have to say I didn't care for. He was jealous when he had no right to be and always seem to be snooping around.
I highly enjoyed this book and loved reading about all that Poppy goes through. She and her friends make a delightful cast of characters. You get to see there personalities and how they will take up for each other no matter what. This book keeps you intrigued as while you see many things coming before they happen you don't know what Poppy will do. It does have a few good lessons that lay underneath the story that is good for teens to hear. I am glad I have the next book to read as I am fascinated by these wonderful characters.

Sarah Billington is an Australian writer and editor who likes to write stories with love, laughs, suspense and zombies. Sometimes all in the same story. Her favouritest thing to write about are those horrendously awkward moments that come with being a teenager. Or a human being. Sarah was extremely accident-prone and klutzy as a kid and teen, so her cup runneth over with experiences of horrendously awkward moments to draw from in her writing. Thankfully, she has grown out of her klutziness. Mostly. She is, however, still an embarrassment.
She loves a variety of random things, which include Swing Dancing, Ice Hockey, Fly ball and she is a bit obsessive about paranormal investigation shows and channel E!.
