AGAINST THE CAGE: Worth the Fight Series
Loveswept Contemporary Romance
Written by Sidney Halston
Releasing May 27, 2014

Blurb
In her Loveswept debut, Sidney Halston turns up the heat as a sexy cage fighter shows a former bookworm how delicious a few rounds between the sheets can be.

For Chrissy Martin, returning to her Florida hometown always seems to bring bad luck. The day starts with a breakup text, followed by a jailhouse phone call from her troublemaker brother. Now a routine traffic stop has ended with her accidentally punching an officer . . . in a delicate place. Then Chrissy realizes that the hot cop on the receiving end of her right hook is none other than the man from her teenage fantasies.

Jack Daniels knows how to take a hit. After all, when he’s not chasing reckless drivers, he’s kicking ass in a mixed martial arts ring. So what takes his breath away isn’t the low blow, but the woman who dealt it: a gorgeous knockout with legs Jack wouldn’t mind being pinned under—who just so happens to be his best friend’s nerdy little sister, all grown up. Soon their instant chemistry leads to a sizzling affair, but Jack and Chrissy are fighting an uphill battle if they want to make love last beyond the final bell.

My Review
Chrissy Martin is going home after being away for years. She is going to help her brother and get away after  a string of bad luck. he bad luck follows her and she ends p being pulled over. After an accident with the cop she realizes he is her brother's best friend who she crushed on for years. Jack Daniels is surprised by Chrissy. He remembers the slightly overweight nerdy girl from years ago. The sexy woman he sees now shocks him. She is a doctor back in town to help her brother. She hates the fact they both fight to make extra money and while they begin to know the adult versions of each other they have to get over all the trouble her brother seems to get into. They have to learn to understand each other and see if they can make it work.

This is a very good story that kept my interest until the end. Chrissy is all grown up and different from when she was young. She still at times doesn't understand she is sexy now. She is a doctor and can't seem to understand why her brother and Jack fight. She is also one to get into trouble everywhere she goes. She is afraid Jack is just out for one thing and most of the time she doesn't listen to what he says. Jack lies to her a few times to try and keep her from trouble but it never seems to work for him. I like both of the characters and how much Jack tries to show her he cares. His little dog is a nice touch and I love how it only listens to Chrissy. There is several hot scenes to get your blood going. There is also several moments you see how great a person Chrissy is. She tries her best to hel others from making the same mistakes she does. If you like a story with wonderful characters and a great plt be sure to try this one.

Author Info
Sidney Halston lives her life by one simple rule: “The secret of getting ahead is getting started” (Mark Twain). Or even simpler: “Just do it” (Nike). And that’s exactly what she did. At the age of thirty, having never written anything other than a legal brief, she picked up a pen for the first time to pursue her dream of becoming an author. That first stroke sealed the deal, and she fell in love with writing. Halston lives in South Florida with her husband and children.
