Hi everyone! Today I have a stop on the Rock Star blog tour. I have a review of Jaded & Faded for you all, an excerpt from Jaded and a giveaway.

I'm Scarlett Ryan.

Yes, THAT Scarlett Ryan.

I live an extraordinary life: millionaire rock star, owner of exotic cars, pictures of me in every magazine, millions of fans, and a name that is recognized world wide. It's supposed to be my dream come true. But, my life IS a fantasy, and I want real. I want exciting. I want... NORMAL. So, I moved from California to Florida, hoping to obtain some normalcy. Instead I find...

Stephan Montgomery.

He's an arrogant jerk. Seriously, I hate him. I swear if he tells me one more blonde joke, I will punch him... again... Unfortunately I can't stop thinking about him, or his gorgeous green eyes. Trust me, I know that he's bad for me. If only my heart would listen.

I also find out that my parents have kept a LIFE CHANGING secret from me. I need to know the truth.

The harder I strive for normal, the stranger things seem to get.

My Review
Scarlett Ryan is a rock star but she just wants to live a normal life for a short time. She wants to graduate from a normal high school and do normal things. She has also been getting tired of the way her records have been going and feels a change of pace will do her good. She moves and begins high school. There she meets Stephan Montgomery. From the moment she meets him they begin a love/hate relationship. Between trying to live normal and figure out her feelings for Stephan, Scarlett finds out her parents have kept a huge secret from her. One that may keep her from just living a normal life and cause her to run.

Scarlett is freaking awesome. She is a rock star and she doesn't let you forget it. At times she can be bitchy but as you read you see just how lost she really is. She really hasn't had no one to be there for her except her  for one friend. Her fame really made her parents true colors come out and not for the good. Stephan scares her at times I believe because she is scared of how she may feel and just what caring about someone may do to her, when everyone else has let her down. She really doesn't feel she is good enough for anyone. Stephan is so adorable and hot I love him. He loves to tease and is fun to be around. He really brings out the good in Scar when she is feeling down. He has a past he doesn't like to talk about his self and holds in some hatred that he has to learn to let go. These two are the best when they are together.

This book is so fantastic! The characters are some that you normally don't think you would care about but in this book you feel for them and want the best. I loved getting to see all the different sides of Scar and getting to know what she really is like. She has had a good life in some ways like in the fact that she is rich and famous, but she also has it bad that everyone seems to use her. The surprises the author throws in keeps you on your toes as you have to keep reading just to see what will happen next. You see two people who because of their parents are really scared to open up and truly care for someone else. I hated to see this book end  and was glad I had the next one to jump right into.

Jaded Excerpt
“Stephan's got it bad for you, huh?” Bridgett already knows me well. I love that she changed the subject from my parents to Stephan, because it is exactly what I need.

I can't help but smile at the mention of his name. “Yes, I believe he does.”

“What about you?”

“I like him a lot more than I should,” I admit.

“Has he asked you to commit?” she asks.

I shake my head. “Not yet.”

“He will be soon.” She is confident in her statement.

I suddenly remember our conversation in study hall, and can't help but be excited. “He did sort of hint at wanting to be in a relationship, but I barely know him. I mean, I have known him a total of seven days, Bridge. That's definitely not long enough to commit myself to him.”

“But what does your heart tell you?”

Ethan pulls over to the side of the road and I park behind him. I then turn to Bridgett. “My heart is screaming at me to take a chance and go for it. But my head is telling me to stop, because he's going to break my heart.”

“Heartbreak is a part of life. Take it from somebody who recently got her heart broken. But even though Martin was a total jerk, I wouldn't take back one day of it.” She smiles sadly at me. “Go for it, and stop listening to your head.”She get's out of the car, and shuts the door. I sit there for a few seconds, contemplating what she just said. I know that she's right, but I still don't want to put my heart on the line. I've heard enough Taylor Swift songs to know that heartbreak sucks.

I left Hope – the only place I’ve ever felt at home. So now what? Where do I go from here?

When I left, I didn’t just leave my home. I left my friends, my sisters, and Stephan… I just found them. I can’t lose them now.

I know that I want to do MY music. I need to remember WHY I wanted to play music in the first place. And the only way to get that is by firing my dad, but that may be harder than I thought.

On top of everything, I now have cameras following me around everywhere. Even my own home isn’t safe anymore.

I’ve come to realize that normal will never be an option for me.

My Review
Scarlett has learned that even tho she can run away she can't really run from her problems. No she may never have a normal life but it's time to think about what she wants from her life. She wants to have a relationship with her sisters, stay with Stephan to see just were they are going in their life. She also know she wants to do her music her way. With the help of a friend she just may get to do her music but it will come at a cost. She has to deal with cameras following her around. She also has to find a way to confront her parents  about what they have done. Life is far from normal and her heart and music may be on the line.

I already loved Scarlett and Stephan from the first book but I think I love them even more now. They both start to open up about their feelings even if they are not quite ready to make the big L word step. I like how even if Scar wants to she doesn't give in to temptation. It shows you no matter what she has done in her past she is trying to be a better person. You also get to see just how protective she can be of her family. Stephan  shows more than his adorable side in this book as at times he does get angry. It makes him more real. He is right there for Scar and all she goes through.

It happens sometimes but not a lot. I enjoyed the sequel more than the first book. The people in this book really start to come into their own even when faced with lots of drama and a lot of things going on. Scar and Stephan show just how much they are there for each other and are willing to do whatever it takes to help each other. Scarlett's music really comes into play in this book and I am glad to see it. In the first book you know she is a rock star but now you get to see why and what really goes on for her. If you are looking for a wonderful series about amazing characters pick this series up. I love and hated the ending of this book. I didn't see it coming but loved it. I hated it because I have to wait for the next book. I need it now.
