In her Loveswept debut, Maggie McGinnis tells the tale of a city girl who’s running on fumes—and the cowboy who shows her all the good things she’s been missing.

After being betrayed by her con man ex-fiancĂ©, Kyla Bennett nurses a broken heart. But Kyla's friends have other ideas and when they whisk her off to Whisper Creek, a dude ranch staffed by cowboys so hot they dim the Montana sunset, all Kyla wants to do is hide under a quilt. Then in rides Decker Driscoll. He’s hauling about as much emotional baggage as Kyla, but when he stands close by, both of them want to stay close—and begin to succumb to an undeniable attraction.

After experiencing personal tragedy, Decker never thought he’d see Big Sky country again. But now that his family's Whisper Creek property is in deep with a Vegas gambler, Decker’s back for the summer—and spending all his time running from “cowgirls” who come to the dude ranch to score some dudes. Then he meets Kyla, a kindred spirit who brings on a stampede of protective feelings . . . and a powerful hankering to sear her with a new brand of love.

My Review
Kyla is recovering from a bad accident and a horrible ex fiance. Her friends get her to go to a dude ranch in the hopes of bringing her out of her shell. She doesn't trust easy now but Decker one of the owners of the ranch slowly begins to bring her out and let her see she can move on. Decker has returned to the ranch to help his family. He never thought he would see the place again after a tragedy years ago. He isn't looking for love as he has women chasing him. Kyla isn't like the others and he begins to have some hope he can save the ranch. They both just have to let go of the past in order to have a future.

Kyla feels bad for the past that isn't her fault. She is broken hearted that she caused so much trouble not just for herself.  She is recovering from an accident and also feels bad about that. She thinks she should be over it. She has some great friends that help her out. She is a very smart woman who once she puts her mind to something can do anything. She is also tough as you get to see as the book goes along. She does stuff you wouldn't think she would at the beginning. I loved seeing her grow into an even more fantastic woman. Decker is a sexy cowboy that you can't help but want. He is also a very talented architect. He is used to woman throwing themselves at him but he doesn't want them. He very much will do whatever to help his family even if he holds on to guilt. I like both these main characters very much.

This is a wonderful book. There is a lot of books I didn't want to end and this is one for sure. I wanted it to go on and on. The author has a magical touch with her writing that makes you feel you are right there on the trail with the people or in the kitchen with a loving mother. I loved everything about it. I could picture each scene clearly. Some scenes I got a good laugh out of and some had my heart pounding. This story has a little bit of it all love, action, letting go and sexy cowboys how much more could you want. If you like a romantic story that has an excellent plot and phenomenal characters pick this one up.
