Let It Be Me
By: Toni Aleo

Blurb
Do you see that woman there?
The one with long, wavy blond hair and blue eyes that used to sparkle?
That’s me, Violet Moore.
Do you see those men over there?
One is my husband, Rob.
A man who claimed he loved me, but proved his fist loved me more.
The other is Tucker McCloud, my savior and confidant.
I'm torn between what's right and my own fear.
But not anymore.
I’m taking my life back now.
I will fight back.
I will be happy.

My Review
Violet thought she had the perfect man. He was sweet and very lovable. When they got married that all changed. Rob became abusive and took her from all she knew. In a new town she gets a new job trying to keep all her bruises hidden. She feels worthless and doesn't know why she tries to go on. Her new boss changes how she feels. He shows her she is worth something and is very special. She just has to find the courage to leave and stand up for her self.

Violet is a very smart pretty woman. She has things she wants to do but believes she can't do them. She is a very sweet girl who has had a really rough time. She considers her body is broken. Rob is a horrible person. He does what ever he can to break Violet. He tells her constantly he will kill her if she ever leaves him. Tucker is the sexy doctor who is a very caring man and doesn't give his heart easy. He pushes just the right amount and tries to never make Violet do anything she isn't ready to do. He is always there when she needs him.

I loved this book! It will tear your emotions down just like Violet gets tour down. She goes through so much and many times I cringed thinking this was it Rob would finish her. The author did a wonderful job writing this book as it seems so real. It is a subject that isn't in the spotlight much and I'm glad to see this book talk about it. Rob is someone I wished dead the whole book. I kept thinking leave Violet but she is a person who wants to do it on her own. She doesn't want pity or a hand out. She truly grows so much in this book. Tucker I loved from the start he is a sweetheart and will do what Violet ask him to. If you want a book that will stay with you and one that all the characters make you feel so many emotions try this one.

5 out of 5 Stars
